Beach towels sopping wet after machine done spinning

When I was a load with two large beach towels the spin cycle does not work properly. The towels are as wet as if the spin cycle never occured. The cycle will not go up to full speed when two large towels are in the washer. What is the solution.

Thanks for your comment. I am aware that if I added more items it would spin. There are times though that I only need to do a small load. It is frustrating that in a washer this expensive that a small load option is not available and there is no other solution other than add more clothes!

I have a similar problem, but I've found no matter how many towels I have in the wsher, 2 or 8, it usually doesn't spin out unless I turn it off, set it on the "rinse and spin" cycle or just start over with a full cycle. I heard that I should remove the bottom plan, and unscrew the drain. what a pain that is. We finally just leave the bottom off of the washer becuase we always have to check it when it won't drain. Today we removed the drain and the very next load wouldn't spin out without turning it off and setting it to the "rinse and spin" cycle. I regret buying GE and my husband reminds me every time I have a problem that we shouldn't have bought it when our other top loading machine worked just fine. I would not recommend this washer to anyone!!

The washer will not proceed into high speed spin with just two large beach towels in the basket. The washer is detecting a out of balance condition, and remains in low speed spin. Solution? Try adding more items into the basket. With only two towels, there is not enough mass to balance the washer. With more clothing or towels, there is more items for the machine to balance, and reach full speed spin.

The only other thing that could cause this, would be if the water in the tub is not completely draining in the time allowed. This washe does not have a cleanout, and checking for an obtruction in the pump is difficult. I would go with the more clothes first, then see.

I have a WSXH208 ge front loader It started to fill was and then in the middle the water pumped out but did not finish and clothes were sopping wet, Drum stopped spinning. what could be wrong

all front loaders will not go into high spped spin if there is water in the tub.You should first remove the bottom panel and check the water pump for blockage. Some units have a sscrew style filter to catch debris befor it enters the pump impellor.when you unscrew the filter make sure you have a wet vac handy.

I often have a load of towels or sheets that do not spin the water out. They are sopping wet. I make sure not to put to many in at a time still have problem???????????????????????

Are all of your wash items coming out sopping wet? If so, you may have an issue with the spin phase of the wash cycle. Contact an appliance service company.

Spin cycle

the machine has sensors within it that detect off balance loads, very possible that the 1 or 2 items are not enough to correctly balance themselves, so the machine will never achieve full speed spin.

Washer turns slow loaded or not

front load machines will normaly spin slow on first part of spin cycle this helps distribute load evenly before hi speed spin also if load is extermely off balance ..a large towel with load of light fabrics will never spin to full speed due to off balance produced by wet towel hi speed spin is normaly acheived in last 3-4 min of spin cycle

Broken washer/dryer

This sounds like a motor control board is faulty. Please load a couple of towels in the machine run it. Watch the machine as it goes through its' cycles.

1. Do the towels tumble when the machine is washing ?
2. When it begins to spin, does it spin one way at a fast pace or does it spin one way and then the other ?

Answering these two questions will help in troubleshooting your problem.
