Looks like an error with the mirror mechanism. I suggest visit to Nikon and they changed the shutter (under warranty).

Hope helps.

Error. press shutter release button again

most likely cause is failure of the motor in the SQ unit on the side of the mirror box. This ***** the shutter, raises the mirror, and operates the aperture unit. They're made in China, motors are **** This is a very very common problem, and the part is always on back order at Nikon. As Nikon has announced that they are going to stop selling parts - to anyone - in a couple of months you are probably better off sending it to them. Be prepared for a bill a little less than $200.

also if you pressed down really ******* the release to get it to fire, you may also have broken the release switch

I have a Canon PowerShot A430 camera. When I turn it on, the lens doesn't open and it shuts off. The message on the screen says " Lens error, restart camera." Please advise. Thanks

Hi,

The Lens Error is displayed on the LCD screen when the Lens Mechanism is stuck or when affected by any malfunction. If turning the power on and off again does not resolve the error message, try doing a power reset and Initialize option.
Performing a manual power reset
Turn off the camera.
Remove the battery pack.
Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.
Reinsert the battery pack.
Turn on the camera.
You can reset the Camera back to factory default by performing the following steps:
Press the power button.
Press and hold the MENU button for more than 5 seconds. Default Settings will get displayed.
Use the arrow buttons to select OK and press the FUNC./SET button. This will reset all the settings back to factory deafult.
This should resolve the issue. If the issue persists, service may be required.

Every time I try to print I get an error message as follows: Error Message 1700: Waste ink absorber is almost full. Press resume to restart. My manual says nothing about a "waste ink absorber" so...

1. Turn off printer
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not,
press the Power button once more.
8. Your printer should respond as normal..

Lens keeps going in and out error lens mesage

Hi,

Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended. If the camera is still under warranty, before trying any of these, please please first contact your camera's maker to see if they'll cover the repair, or to determine how much they'll charge for the repair. Who knows, you might get lucky. But if they quote you a number that's higher than the value of your camera, you may want to consider the following methods.

Place the camera flat on its back on a table, pointed at the ceiling. Press and hold the shutter button down, and at the same time press the power-on button. The idea is that the camera will try to auto focus while the lens is extending, hopefully seating the lens barrel guide pins in their slots. Blow compressed air in the gaps around the lens barrels with the idea of blowing out any sand or grit that may be in there jamming the lens. Other variations include blowing with a hair dryer in “no heat” setting, or sucking the gaps with a vacuum (careful with this one).

Thank you!

I've got a pana inverter CS-E24FKR, and the timer icon is blinking. I have not set a timer and i can not get the unit to respond. I tried holding the "check" button down for 5 seconds, then...

This is a sign of a bad board. They are cheap and easy to replace. They will need to be replaced or you will continue to have this problem for as long as you own the unit

Lens error

Lens error means that something happened to the lens, some kind of damage. You need to send it into repairs. Call them at 800-706-2534 option 2 and tell them what error you have and they will tell you where to send it. :)

Fuji Finepix S5200- Problem with autofocus

Hi I had exactly that problem and in frustration left it in the cupboard for 2 months and then it worked again perfectly, but the same problem has reappeared, I have had a quote from Fuji in Singapore s$246 for new lens and it is only 2.2years old! Can sympathize and would think twice about buying another or even fixing it.
