Nikon d60 will not take pictures. the battery have a full charge and it will even focus, but it make a grinding sound and will not take the picture.

Maybe it's because you're shooting in low light conditions. Prop up your flash, pump up your ISO number, and shoot.

There's a diopter adjustment control near the right edge of the viewfinder. Look through the viewfinder at a blank wall and adjust this until the focus marks appear sharp.

Some reasons for this may be the Memory card is full, locked, or not inserted,or

Nikon D60 is working slow.

I would start with a freshly formatted memory card. Erasing images leaves folders and other unneeded data on the card which can slow the write speed down considerably. Secondly, make sure the front and rear elements of the lens are spotlessly clean. The auto focus works best (faster) if it can see the subject with perfect clarity.

There are 2 possibilities. The viewfinder lenses are dirty or, depending on the model, there is an adjuster, right at the viewfinder, to adjust the focus of the viewfinder. It has NOTHING to do with the picture, only the viewfinder.
