I went to http://www.satelliteonline.co.uk/sky_remote_codes.htm there are lots of codes and I finally found the one for my Hitachi 32LD8D20U, it is 0065. I only got there by trial and error though because there are so many Hitachi codes. The generic Hitachi code 0145 worked also but just to switch on and off.

- SKY REMOTE CODES

I own a One-for-All universal remote (model URC-4220), and my booklet says the setup code for a Hitachi TV is either 0000 or 0145. If these numbers do not work, then I would buy a newer universal remote. They can purchased at Walmart for less than 10 dollars.
