Usb ports arnt workin and pickin web cam up - Logitech Quickcam Chat Webcam

the pc could not recognize your web cam, try to plug out your usb web cam and blow or wipe the usb of your usb webcam. also try to plug it in to other usb port of your pc. if nothing happens, maybe the web cam it is the problem. and just to make sure that the web cam your using is the problem, try other usb web cam to see if its working on your pc. if the other web cam works on your pc, the web cam your using is damage, and if the other webcam is also not working, the usb ports of your computer is the problem.

i just recieved my web cam and the cords arnt long enough to reach from one port to the other what can i do i have a dell laptop latitude d800 and a fosmon web cam can someonr help

just attach it to the usb port in the pc and it will detect and said to provide him the cam driver and giver him the driver and it is install and ready for use. some web cam are plug and play the dont need and driver just attach it to the usb port and after few second the are ready to use.if the pc is not detecting the cam on the port it mean cam is damage.

If you have a USB port, your should be able to install a web cam.
after perusing the HP web site, I think that you should have no problem installing a USB port web cam provided you have security clearance to install devices.

hi have you installed the drivers for this webcam?

Try a different USB device...see if the PC detects it.
If other devices, like a flash drive run, then your web cam is dead. You can try the web cam on a friends computer to see if it's ok.

If the web cam is good, and no USB devices work in your USB slot, You can check the USB controllers in the "Device manager"

right click "My Computer"
select "Manage"
select "Device Manager"

Click the + sign for "Universal Serial Bus controllers"

some web cams you have to install first and then plug it in.chexck that you have the right driver.

1 - check for the webcam driver...sometime uninstalling and reinstalling the webcam driver gives a result in such situation.

2- check the integrity of your webcam connection via usb ports ; check usb ports too ; try other usb ports if possible.

if you are using the usb web cam. Then you can insert into the usb port on your laptop. But before you insert the usb cable first install the web camera driver software . Then insert the web camera usb cable into the usb port and go to the web camera software and check the display which you can see the face . After that we can go the skype online and go to the file menu then press chat with your friend as you know .If you dont have any driver software with you then you can download the software through the internet.

uninstall your  web cam driver then conect your web cam usb port .then setup ........chat view web cam..........
