These features are handled by the system, not by the phone. You need to ask you administrator to enable the message waiting indicator on your voice mail. When you transfer a call the incoming CLID flashes only for a brief second on the target display. I am not sure that can be changed - it depends on your Nortel hardware and OS version.
I managed to find the manual, but it does not say a thing about this. I think your provider has to give you the information, with the incoming call. When he switched that information of, your phone can't display it. Sometimes the providers charge you extra for that service. If, on the same extension, another phone did display the number, perhaps hetre is a way to switch it on, but I could not find it.
The link is to the manual.
That will require a programming change for your extension. If you are familiar with programming it is located under the capabilities heading and listed next as Forward NoAnswer - press show twice then next and you can use the CHNG soft key to change the delay before being forwarded.
1) Have not set disconnect supervision 2) Have telephone company lines that do not support disconnect supervision 3) Both
The easiest quick fix is to reboot the PBX.
The long term fix is to set disconnect supervision on the PBX for all of the lines and make sure that the lines form the phone company are set to provide disconnect supervision.
The exact way to set it up on the PBX varies by PBX.
OK, the Nortel T7208 set works only on a Nortel system.
It has only one line cord plugged into it, cause the telephone system can be programmed for more telephone lines and features from the system.
If you want just a home (analog) telephone service; look at Aastra/ Telematrix/ there are others - 2 line sets.
ONLY buy this Nortel set is you have a Norstar system. Otherwise the set will not work for you. It needs a system to run off.
