E-bay usually has parts that aren't very expensive.

The Printed Circuit Board ON THE Harddrive inside the Seagate FreeAgent, or the small PCB inside the Seagate FreeAgent's external enclosure? (Case)

If you are referring to the small PCB that the Harddrive connects to, and has the USB cable coming from it, just buy an external enclosure, and install the Harddrive into it.

If your Seagate is like the one in the link above, it has a laptop size Harddrive in it, and it is a SATA unit.

2.5 inches across in width. (2 and a half inches)

IF you are referring to the PCB on the Harddrive itself, good luck.

One method would be to buy another harddrive like the one in the Seagate FreeAgent, and use it's PCB so that you can retrieve your information.

Then reinstall the PCB on the new harddrive.

disconnect the power, turn the machine upside down, the battery compartment is is at the front, a slide release the latches - just push it and the battery can be lifted out.
The manual has a good description on page 19.

first you need to install the software for it (does not work on win7 so with win7 you cannot use it)
the link for both bits of software you need.

download and run them. the media studio program will then popup when you insert the mp3 player - if not us ethe manual to select that program manually.

I have the same player.The best thing about this player is that it is very repairable.
Just do the following...

1. Turn player on > Settings > System > Format. And then reload only few songs and check if it works or not.

If the above method doesn't work, then...

2. Connect it to a computer > Right click on the player > Format.

After formatting it must work. If it still doesn't work then obviously the problem is with the music files that you played.

But still... you may try installing the firmware... the following is site from where you can download it.

Take a look at the keyboard plug and buy any keyboard that has the same plug. It will be either USB or PS/2.
