It is possible it needs a reset.
1. turn off the breaker to make sure there is no power to the unit
2. open the top cover and there will be a red button like this

push it. It may have a plastic cover over or around it, leave this in place it is insulation for the wiring.
close it up carefully and then turn on the power and see what happens.
My water heater now is auto test..doesnt want to green light..what should i do?

Might be tripped circuit breaker or tripped ECO located on upper thermostat.

SOURCE: Water heater with electonic igniter will not work in power outage
What type of heater is this? I need to know the model name and make and then we can go threw the process of how to do it. Most gas heaters do not have power to them and I only know of a few tankless heaters that do.
