If Im correct, VLC media player can play any region DVD.

Also if you go to 'my computer' then right click your DVD drive then go to 'properties' then go to 'hardware' under the dvd drive hardware, youll find a tab called 'region' you can change it from there however you can only change a certain amount of times.

Try using a lens cleaner. Also, reset the unit to factory defaults. Ensure that the disk you are attempting to play is clean and scratch-free. If the problem persists, you may pursue service options through the place of purchase.

The reason the player says 'no disc', is either the fact that the laser/lens is either weak/dirty.

First of all try to clean the lens with a lens cleaner,

if it does the same, try replacing the lens.

To replace the lens,

Unscrew the compartment underneath the player,
carefully detach the panel and remove the old lens and replace it with a new one.

Carefully fix the panel back and close the compartment.

Test it with a DVD.

Ensure that the disk is clean. The player may not play a disk if there is internal condensation; leave the player on for an hour. You may wish to try a lens cleaner. If these steps don't resolve the problem, repairs may be required. Service can be obtained by carrying the unit in to the place of purchase.

Connecting this up will be easy. What you do is get a yourself a set of the right, for your setup, cables. That uses EITHER one of the formats, of these described, below. You will need, either, a THREE way Cable, or three separate " Coaxial Cored" Cables with RCA PLUGS on them. ColoredYellow, (Video) Red, & White. (Audio) AV. Now if you have SCART, then it simply plugs in only one way. It is that simple. So connect up with the leads your set uses, and select the correct "Input" from TV/Remote, it is NOT on a "Channel" it will be on AV, AUX, and Press "Play" on VCR/DVD whatever.... should be all go.

Check if this occurs with other DVD. This may be caused by a disc that has gone bad. See also if this happens on CDs.

1)If you have a friend or know someone who have basic knowledge with electronics better ask that person to check your charging adaptor ( AC to DC adaptor) In the adaptor itself it indicates the DC voltage output it produced(ex. 3V / 4.5V / 8.5V /12 V )

2) if you don't know someone having knowledge with electronics, check the Voltage specs. of your adaptor , voltage polarity and the Dc jack size. You can alternatively purchase adaptor having the same specs.,polarityand dc jack size in a cheaper price.It's also adviceable to carry with you ,your portable player upon purchasing new adaptor so you can actually see if you have problem with the adaptor itself or the player does.

You can just buy a new remote. Test it using the smartphone front camera trick. Or it is the television that has no signal, do a Power Reset. Pull the mains plug for 5 minutes. Press and hold the power button on the set for 1 minute. Plug back in. Also check the input leads on the back for whatever is supplying the signal, Cable, Satellite, OTA, then check the Source button on the remote.
