Right click on the wireless internet icon on the lower right of your screen. Then left click Troubleshoot problems. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in (leave the batteryout) and hit the power button to see if it boots. If it does, you can putthe battery back in and let it charge.Maybe your DC Power Jack which is where the power cord plugsinto the computer is bad. Take an ink pen and push the tip inside thejack and see if the little pin wiggles, if so the jack is bad. You'll have totake the laptop apart to fix it. Most times it is soldered onto themotherboard, so you will have to desolder the old and solder a new one.Maybe your memory is bad or the memory slot is bad.Remove the Power Cord, Remove the Battery, Remove the cover that houses the memory on the bottom of the laptop then remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

You can not format your hard drive using it's on software on the same hard drive. Because your notebook does not come with a DVD rom or CD rom what you need to do is to get yourself an external DVD rom which you connect to the computer with a USB cable. Then you use the disc of the operating system that you want to use on that Notebook. When you reboot the operating system disc will be recognized and on the screen you will be asked to press any key if you want to run the disc. Hello,This happens sometimes when you go back to an older os. Go to Acer support page, enter your model info and reload the drivers for your model notebook. NOTE: Select XP os instead of VISTA. Hopefully you just shut down the "RADIO" and a switch will turn it back on.

1. make sure the driver is installed correctly for your sound card.2. Check device manager to see if device is disabled.3. if all failed your will need to replace the motherboard or just add an USB card card.

if is windows xp you need to boot from install cd, enter in recovery console at the setup and run the command "chkdsk/p"

TRY UNINSTALLING AND RE INSTALLING THE DRIVERS.

There propably isnt anything wrong with the dvd drive itself, Its probably the driver that runs it is corrupt or out of date.
Click start and type drivers into search.
Select update device drivers.
Then double click dvd/cdrom drives from the list.
right click each driver available in the drop down selection and click update driver.

P.S if that doesnt work, repeat the process but instead of clicking update driver, click scan for hardware changes

if you are using a ps2 or usb mouse then another mouse and replace the old one.. now compare if the scroll button now working..if so,then try to repair the old one with the assist of a technician if you don't know how to handle it..
