k850 keypad problem # 1....7 ....short cut menu.... upper keypad not functioning.... i think this keyfoil problem ...pls help

Yes if the battery terminals are contacting well , if not remove clean battery contact and terminals- then the fault can be the software error. but make sure you reset and clear off all downloads or suspected files that could cause errors.
If after all this the fault stays the software must be reinstalled with help from Sony Ericsson.

You may try default phone and security code to remove restrictions.
ur defalt phones codes is 12345 or 00000 u can use it
Default 4 Digit user code: 1234 or 0000
Default 6 Digit Security code: 123456 or 000000
Type *#06# at the mobile screen to know IMEI no of your mobile.
send the IMEI no to me and i will reply you with unlocking code.

This is a message that the phone is needing help as there is errors in the hardware or software.
soit will be good to have the phone checked for error codes so as to get the remedy from the Sony ericsson service centre.

This might be causing due to voltage from adapter irregular so this type of disturbance causes. Try to replace the adapter and check or else contact the customer service people.

Hi, the problem you are having is with the settings that are stored on your phone, the chances are these have never been setup correctly and you usually get this problem when you change the sim card in the phone to another sim or another network.

now all you need to do to solve this problem is call your service provider and tell them the make and model of phone you have got then ask them to send you the latest mms and wap settings.

your service provider wont charge you anything for doing this and they will send you the settings via text message this will then update your phone to the latest settings and you will be able to use the phone as you want to then.

you can sometimes send the settings to the phone yourself via your service providers web site, but not all service providers offer this service so you would have to check.

the quickest and easiest way would be to give them a call and ask them to send you the latest settings. they will do this for free so just give them a call and your phone will be then set up correctly.

Use this steps to unlock your mobile

1 - Switch ON your Sony Ericsson K850i without any SIM Card,
2 - Press the left arrow key/button once,
3 - Press the button * twice,
4 - Press the left arrow key/button once,
5 - The message "Personalize with MNC2" will appear, (or you will have displayed an unlock menu, select the lock you want to unlock)
6 - Enter the Unlock Code.

Check your Battery has Full Charge.If there is Charge in your Battery,Remove your Battery for Few minutes or Half an hour.
Reinsert your Battery then Try again to Switch On.
Still same it Needs to Repair.It means need to Be Flashed[Reprogram your Phone].Or it might be Some Hardware Damage...

seriously, bang it on a hard surface. if the shutter is really stuck then it needs to be serviced.

There is an option called "Master reset" in "settings" menu.Remember to take propper backups before doing master reset because it erases all the user entered data.If you want a full cleaned state,try a software update.You can find all the necessary softwares from SonyEricsson's official web site.Note that you have to take propper backups before doing a software update

hi kieran. your software is corrupt. the only fix is to take it to a service centre, as, it can be upgraded only by special sony ericcson box

try to flash its with latest firmware

i have sonyerecssonk850i and the ligths on the screen its gone black but the phone is still working,what can i do to fix it.

Hi, it's the keypad IC or the keypad itself. So you can check the keypad if there is dirts that is stopping the keypad from working. Or the keypad needs to be replaced.

After checking the keypad if the keypad still did not solve the problem,
You will have to replace the keypad IC inside the board of the phone.
