My sony ericsson k850i have
this mean your lcd was broken or fexible was damaged, change it with new one

Buttons light up but phone screen not working, how
U can try a cold reboot that where u have the fone turn on
and then u take out the battary while the
fone is turn on it fixed many erorr.
if that dosent work u may have to send it back to sony ericsson for a software reset

Is your phone working normally except for the earpiece?
If that's the problem, probably you have a defective earpiece, there is a loose connection to your earpiece or if there is something blocking it. the usual cause of that is when your phone fell off, getting wet or get bump hard accidentally.
You can check it out buy opening your phone. if you could open it. your earpiece is just located just behind the casing on top of the LCD. Just be careful on opening your phone cause plenty of small components inside and you might get lost where it is placed when it fell off. Be cautious when opening.
When you get to the earpiece. try to check if it has no rust or dirt accumulated in it and also check the terminals, particularly at the board that connects the earpiece. The earpiece is a tough component and cannot be easily be damage. If it is damage, then you can just replaced it. you can find spares at ebay or at your local mobile repair shop. You can check it if you have a ordinary multi-meter. Set it to Ohms(resistance x1 or x10), The earpiece usually has 2 terminals, place the leads of your meter to the earpiece terminal. The red goes to the one terminal and the black to the other terminal. if it produce a scratching sound then it is OK. if not, then defective already.
Note:
Only open your phone if there is no more warranty on it cause opening it can forfeit the warranty.

Where shud i put the
sir the phonelock of your cellphone has work like.if you switchoff your cellphone and then switchon the phone will ask the unlock code.if you like to put the code go to the menu > settings > security > lock > phone protection > select and enter the default code 0000 and then enter the new code repeat the code to conform on and the phone protection lock will be on. don`t forget the phone password number............

You have to just reset your Phone. Still problem exist , you may need to check your Connectors to display and to Key pad....
