Radio locked no code

Unlocking the Delco Radio Theft-Deterrent Feature After a Power Loss

If you know the code that was used to lock the radio then use the following instructions from the owner's manual to unlock the radio.
Quote:
Enter your secret code as follows; pause no more than 15 seconds between steps:
1. Turn the ignition on. LOC will appear on the display.
2. Press MIN and 000 will appear on the display.
3. Press MIN again until the last two digits agree with your code.
4. Press HR until the first one or two digits agree with your code.
5. Press AM-FM after you have confirmed that the code matches your secret code. The display will show SEC, indicating the radio is now operable and secure.

If you enter the wrong code eight times, INOP will appear on the display. You will have to wait an hour with the ignition on before you can try again. When you try again, you will only have three more chances (eight tries per chance) to enter the correct code before INOP appears.
If you don't know the code that was used to lock the radio then you will have to use the dealer's unlock procedure as follows. The dealer code changes over time - the one listed is current as of this posting. If it doesn't work try 08359 or search the forum for messages with a more recent code.
Quote:
1. Press and hold presets 2 & 3 for about 10 seconds until the first three digits of the display code are displayed.
2. Write the numbers down.
3. Press the AM-FM button, write down the next three numbers.
4. Call 1-800-537-5140. When asked, enter dealer code 202108, press the * button, and enter the six digit code from the radio. You will get an unlock code, write it down.
5. Go back to the car, press the HR button and set the first two numbers, press the MIN button and set the next two numbers, then press the AM-FM button. The display will show SEC, indicating the radio is now operable and secure.

To remove the code, repeat step 5. you should see --- on the radio face indicating the code is now out of the radio."

What causes 4x4 switch to just blink when trying to put in 4 wheel drive 2000 gmc Jimmy

The reason the light is flashing constantly is because the vehicle is sensing that four wheel drive(4WD) is not working. These 4WD systems use vacuum from the engine to engage/disengage to front axle. The vehicle probably has no vacuum going to the front axle, which would not allow the 4WD shift to complete, which would then leave the light on the dash flashing. First thing to check is that the vacuum actuator on the firewall is working as it should. vacuumactuator-i41lip55jj2iikcwyaqb5d1m-1-0.png

Own a 2000 GMC Jimmy. Had the thermostat changed

Save yourself money. take to mechanic and say that is overheating. Do not suggest repair. You will have the preforming unnecessary work. In my home remodel business, whenever customers wanted to tell how to do it and micro manage it cost them extra for doing work that did not have to be done or not related to project.

Where is the location of the thermistat for the heating system in the 2000 gmc jimmy

Are you refering to the thermostat for the coolant system on the engine or the controls for the in car heat? One can affect the other. In car heat is usually controlled by electronic within the dashboard. The engine thermostat is located below a black L shaped pipe on the front end of the engine. Refer to the photo below. 3cb5daad-6537-48ee-af9d-d8b7a3f1a8f1-fb1moghuyt5lkvoohrye4qp0-1-0.jpeg

I have a 2000 gmc jimmy and the electrical release won't work.

The solenoid that releases the glass latch is probably stuck (corroded, warn out, needs lubricating, etc.). You will need to remove the rear gate inside panel to see what's wrong and manually release the latch, and then likely replace the latching mechanism.

Why the 30 amp fuse under hood for heater fan keeps blowing

If it blows immediately after turning the fan on, there must be a short. If it takes a few seconds, the motor could need to be oiled, unrestricted (if something is stopping the squirrel-cage from turning), or possibly replaced. Don't go with a larger fuse; you'll burn up the wiring.

Diverter not working, no heat to floor 2000 Jimmy

It sound to me that you have a blending door actuator problem. This video shows you how to repair them. I would recommend that you replace them. Can be a little spendy but worth it in the long run.
