Probably defective or incorrect sensor, sensor wiring connector problem (bent or corroded pins), improper installation (wrong orientation, not seated properly), etc. Why did you replace it in the first place?

Sounds like you will need to check the front axle vacuum actuator (should be located under the battery in the engine compartment) and clutch cable from there to the axle. If vacuum and cable are OK, you may need to replace the actuator or something has gone wrong in the transfer case .

Is there spark coming from plugs . Electronic ignition? Check fuse box for blown fuses . Pull a wire out from spark plug and place it near the plug. Start engine while someone else watches if there is spark going ( do not handle wire when doing this ) if new pump it has to be primed before use .

well it needs good spark [distributor cap] .it needs fuel check preasure .and the only other thing is a plugged cataletic converter. < was it loseing power before it stopped working . other wise i think its the distributorcap and rotor.

Just look at the exhaust pipes near the engine. Should be one just after the Y where the two sides come together.

This is usually a transmission problem (probably the torque converter lock solenoid not engaging, and there can be a number of reasons for this). A transmission shop can sort this out.

There are a number of things that could cause this issue. Now this is going to sound kind of "out there" but, does the engine temperature actually come up to around 195°, more or less? The reason i ask that is IF the engine isn't up to proper temperature the computer will NOT allow the transmission to shift into overdrive. Hope this helps.

do you have the airbag disabled on the passenger side? have you turned the key in the disable passenger side airbag. if the airbag is disabled then the light will stay on

If the temp gauge is now more stable, the problem is in your heater system, not the engine cooling system.
