In general, when you can't find files generated by an application, create them with a unique name that you write down and then use the windows file search to search for the name.

This could be due to the output volume and monitor mix are turned too low. You can fix this by adjusting the input gain levels in the ASIO settings menu.

Without knowing your setup or the mic model, my guess is that you need to run a phantom power supply to the mic to get it to function. This is done either by using an outboard analog mixing console or mic preamp with a phantom power switch, or using an inline phantom power supply. The microphone plugs into the mixer or mic pre with the phantom turned on, and then into your DAW system.
The phantom power works with condensor microphones like the one you have. It sends a 48v signal to the microphone element, which in turn energizes the element and makes it function. Dynamic mics, like a Shure SM 58 for example, do not need the phantom power and will even ignore it if run on a phantom powered channel. condensor mics however must have it to function, otherwise there will not be any sound. Get a much longer USB cable and distance yourself and the mic from the computer.
You could also try putting some soft services near the computer so that the noise doesn't travel.

you need to make sure that you are using the M-Audio sync and not your sound card to sync voice. I guess you could use your sound card but make sure your instruments are using that sync too. most sound cards don't do well at recording audio in an environment that includes instruments being recorded at the same time.. If you mic has line in or instrument in, use it instead of sound card to record your instrument.
If what you are doing is singing along to a sound track then use the same sync for both.

Perhaps the mic is picking up interference from the computer and/or screen. Try moving it around and place it further away to see if that helps.

this happened to me too.. hook the internal sofware drive to the desktop awareness then when the title screen pops up enter "code lyoko" to find the 7th dragonball

Make sure you are using headphones and turn up the system volume so you don't get feedback.

If you disarm recording on the mic it should mute during playback. Just click the record button again to disarm it. Good Luck, Cody J.

Depending on whether you are using recording software and what kind you are using you are experiencing what is known as latency. It happens when your computer is not fast enough to keep up with what you are recording. More RAM sometimes helps. Sometimes it is just a simple adjustment. It is too long a subject to go into here. Try looking at Audacity which is freeware. There is a good explanation on their site. Also, I would recommend Asio4all. Hope this helps.

If you are sure of what you are doing then replace the capacitor and any other capacitors with a blown/distorted top.These capacitors are polarised capacitors and must be inserted/soldered correctly in place. The stripe on the capacitor is the negative lead.
