I was able to lift the covers on the screws that keep the two halves of the cover in place. Once removed gentle prying seperated the two halves. Replacing the screen was relatively easy and obvious.

this is actually pretty easy. you turn both phones on and enable bluetooth on both. after that you can have one as "discoverable" and the other as searching. After it "discovers" the other item it will give you the option to browse the files on the phone and copy them over.
