Trying to install Geforce Verto 8400 GS card on
Seems like the graphics card simply isn't compatible with your motherboard either.
However, have you tried installing the drivers for the new card with the old one still in, then inserting the new one, and booting up?
That's the only thing I can think of that you didn't try yet...
Problem while playing games with nvidia geforce 8600 gt.
its possible that the card that you have is bad.. try it on another computer. Sometimes, this problem can easily be solved by taking the GPU card out then put it back in. make sure that you handle that card properly. static can easily damage the card.
also,try reinstalling the driver files...
i hope this helps
Stretched desktop warning
You can try to resize your desktop by right clicking the desktop -> personalization->desktop background. On that screen scroll to the bottom where it says :how should picture be positioned" and if it's set to "fill" move it to center and try to see if that stops the error. If not the best solution may be to contact XFX about the issue.
Cant boot up compy with new graphics card to reinstall drivers
if you have an older graphic card swap it out with the new or if u have onboard video use it as your video. Once you boot up uninstall the nvidia drivers and turn off pc. Now reinstall the new card and install the drivers from the CD or the new ones from the nvidia site. Dont use the windows device manager.

Repairing a graphic card
Those "battery looking things" are called capacitors. You could replace them if you know how to solder but it is likely that some other problem on the card caused them to fail.
Replacement is your best option. You could contact the manufacturer of your card (
Nvidia has a list here) and ask about repair or replacement if the card is under warranty.
Card not getting detected
does this card have another power source (6 or 8 pin on top of the card) that has not been connected? Also be sure that it is fully seated in the slot. if it has 2 DVI or VGA ports make sure to use the one closest to the rear of the pc.
Other than that If you removed it you maybe have shorted something, ESD (eclectic static discharge) may have shorted out a circuit or transistor on the card.

Hi the actions in the game i am playing suddenly
Go to nvidia and download the latest driver then download ntune which is software that monitors the gpu temp and allows you to adjust the clock speed. if the temp is going above 80 degrees while gaming lower the GPU clock speed until it stays below. You also get some nice little adjustments you can make to the fan on the card etc. You should be able to solve your problem with ntune
