That means that the remote code is incorrect. The same if the remote had been set using auto-program procedure.

This TV should work with hisense codes.Try 1042 (remotes RCR612, RCR812 and others), 1138 (remotes RCR3273 RCR3373 RCR4257) for the RCA 4 digits remote, try 759 on a 3 digits remote.


If you want to purchase the original remote clone, you can get it here. The new remote will be black, and may be different from the original one.

I have the same issue. sometimes it opens sometimes it doesnt. I use a screw driver and pry it open as i hit the eject button. this worked for a while. But it stopped comming out even with a screw driver. I poped the pink front pannel to the dvd tray off and can access the gears that make the tray come out. you just have to use your fingure to get it started and then you can pull it out. This is not a good way to fix the problem and i will be buying a new stand alone tv and dvd player for her this x-mas. Cheap products = crappy products. It worked fine for about a year or so.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but the problem you've described can't be fixed with troubleshooting. Your TV will have to be replaced. There is a part that has developed a defect and needs to be replaced. If you're still in warranty, the TV will be replaced at no charge to you. The warranty would likely be at least 90 days from the date of purchase from the manufacturer. If you purchased an extended service plan they will replace the TV at no charge as well.

If the TV is no longer in warranty, you will not be able to get it repaired because the parts are no longer available. The company that was manufacturing Disney TVs and DVD players went out of business nearly two years ago.

You should just return it to the store and ask for a new one.  If they won't bring it back you could always bring it to sears and say it was a gift and you would just like to exchange it for another one.  I know that sears has a satisfaction guarantee so they should let you bring it back with no problem, even without a receipt.

I"m guessing it's the TV, chances are it would loose sound as well if it was the streaming service. Are your backlights staying on when the screen goes black?

Have try adding it from your channel store, entering the code you see and log in with your details?

If yours is a 'Smart' or an 'Android' TV you will have a link on the TV settings where you can download new 'Apps'. Where it is will depend on your specific make of TV. Once you've subscribed to Disney+ the app will ask for your log in details.

Old VHS tapes may have a copy protection in the video that will cause the video to go dark then to go bright making the copy no good. There are devices available that will remove this copy protection. The copy protection is called macro vision I believe.
