How to remove bottom shelf to clean inside bottom of freezer?
Good Morning Wayne,
I see that you want to remove the bottom shelf of your Frigidaire freezer, to clean inside the bottom of your appliance. To remove the shelf, you will pull it out and lift it up. If you are having troubles getting the bottom shelf out, I suggest contacting a local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose exactly what is causing the shelf to stay inside your freezer. Hope this is helpful.

Freezer not cold. Can't get to coils to see if
Hi grammycather, thank you for allowing me to assist you. Here are a few simple troubleshooting tips that may
help you resolve this issue:
First
check clearances around your freezer. There must be adequate space around a freezer
with a static condenser so that air can circulate properly. Proper clearances
include 1" at the back and 3" on top of the unit.
Examine
your doors. If the doors have been opened too often or for too long, this may
have allowed warm air to enter the appliance. Make sure to shut the door
completely and be sure not to keep the door open for too long. Even leaving a
door slightly open can allow too much warm air intake. Make sure freezer is
level and keep food and containers from blocking the door closing.
Check
the door seal. You do this by placing a dollar bill between the body of the freezer
and close the door. The dollar bill should stay in place and pull out with a
small amount of resistance. If the dollar bill falls out when placed between
the gasket and cabinet, double check to see if the door is being blocked by
anything that may be stopping it from closing. If nothing is stopping the door
from closing then refer to a tech to replace the gasket.
Check
to see if the condenser is dirty. A dirty condenser cannot release heat
efficiently into the surrounding air. Cleaning the condenser may be necessary,
more if you have animals in the house. If you have condenser coils, they should
be wiped occasionally with a damp cloth to remove accumulated dust. The
condenser coils should be wiped occasionally with a damp cloth to remove
accumulated dust.
Check
for any obstructions to the vent to ensure proper air flow. If the vent is
blocked, the air in the freezer will not get cool.
I suggest to double check the
freezer control. If the freezer control is set too warm, set freezer control to
a colder setting and allow 24 hours for temperature to stabilize.
If these assessment measures prove to be ineffective, I
would strongly suggest contacting an authorized service technician who would be
better able to assist you in the diagnosis and repair of your unit. You can
often locate an experienced technician in your area by going to the
manufacturer website.
Why does the temperature on the front say FF? I
See if the light for "Quick Freeze" is illuminated. If so, your freezer is running constantly because it is being told to. Push the "On Off" button and the light should go out and your freezer should let out a sigh of relief and then take a nap.
Bought an upright Frigidaire Freezer on Craigslist
If there is a short circuit, the circuit breaker protection in your house wiring would trip (Open the electrical circuit path).
It is normal for the condenser, which is on the outside of the appliance to be hot because it is transfering the heat from inside the freezer cabinet to the ambient air outside the cabinet. Make sure that you give the appliance enough space all around the hot condenser so that it can transfer its heat to the surrounding air efficiently.
P.S. Some freezer designs integrate the condenser coils into the metal cabinet, thus the hot side panels.

OFF indicates that the Temperature Control is switched Off.
Pressing the Up or Down Buttons should change the display back to the Temperature Display and allow you to set the required Temperature.

The panel you are trying to remove im guessing is near the top of the freezer. Do not remove that, as it is ONLY an air tunnel that leads from lower down the back wall. Removing this plastic panel could damage it. That METAL panel is held in place by about 10 screws. also, the temperature control is usually clipped on this back wall, and NEEDS to be removed from the back wall to remove the back wall from the freezer. there is usually a styrofoam cover around this control behind the back wall, keep this in one piece. If there is a problem with your freezer, it will have nothing to do with that upper plastic panel, as again, it is only an air tunnel
The high temp light is on, liquids are now
Not normally,Make sure you door is sealing properly also check and make sur ethe evaporator fan is running when the freezer is in a cooling mode.you may need to remove the rear panel of the freezer and check for frost build up.if there is frost build up then defrost the evaporator with a blow dryer.
then check the continuity of the heating element and make sure it is in working order.
We bought a new upright
About the same amount of time that it was laying down
But the trick is to not shake the compressor and that when you
lay it down the freon lines coming out of the refrigerator should be on top or pointing up
The front should be scotched up 6 inches or so too, to help.
Good Luck
