Drops call when placed on hold
You may have other equipment that is on the line that is interfering with the hold signaling.
If you have DSL on a line make sure you have filters in that line before it goes to the phone. I suggest that you have the filter in the line before any splitter. You may also have a bad filter, swap it out and test.
Also, remove any other equipment that may be on the line, fax credit card machine etc. These other devices may also interfere with the hold signal.
And if you have a music on hold machine attached to the system it may not be working correctly. Remove it from the lines and check.
I can only use line 1 on the phone
There could be a few reasons for this.
First, check the programming on the phone to see if you have turned off the other lines. The phone can be programmed not to use a line or not to ring a line.
Second, you may have a bad wire. Inspect the wires from the wall to the phone for a pinch. Also, look at the contacts in the wall plug and in the phone. They should be straight to make a good connection. Then look at the wire to make sure it's a 4 wire cable. If you look at the connector on each end you should see gold connections in the four slots. If you only see connections in the center two then replace the cable with one that does.
I cannot program caller id
According to the spec sheet your phone is not equipped with a caller ID function. This is fairly common in multi-line business phones.
