My desk top is turning from a white screen to pink

What operating system do you have? If it is vista or 7 and you just put in new updates, that might be a problem. If you installed a new game or hooked up a new piece of hardware also.
For some unknown reason, V and7 have vidoe issues. Check if there is a new driver for your video card installed or there is a new update for it. Just go to microsoft update and check recent doownloads. Also go to your manufacturer and check for updates.
If there was something new installed, (hardware) go to your control panel and uninstall the software for it.
Check your connections on the display, and setting on the monitor itself.
Other than that, eihter the video card or the monitor might have gone south, and in that case, buy a new one.
If you have an old monitor kicking around, hook that up first. Thats the easyist wayto the root of the problem .
Remember, to always restart your comp everytime you change any software, either installing or uninstalling somthing.
cheers and good luck

If you can see your usb device but its not working scroll to Ports(Com&Ltd) right click to update driver If you computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it. or you might have to download them Rather doing a driver hunt which can take hours. http://ct.download.com/clicks?t=1179231350-ce770fd4fbc57664a08aea1a8f03b80d-bf&brand=DOWNLOAD&s=5 Windows XP/Vista/7/8 This might take some time being a freeware driver solution Note: The Driver program will find all of your outdated drivers This will automatically search for and find the correct driver you will have to update every driver individually once you update you might be asked whether you want to restart or make a system restore point. Click no to both of these then continue updating each driver free then restart once all of the drivers have been updated. also at cnet http://download.cnet.com/2000-20_4.html on the home page you should see a search tab just type in what you are looking for IE: Motherboard name sound drivers. Place a tick in either windows software or all software box. You might have to try a few times to get it right.

Is it safe to remove the updates on my laptop i have over 300 on it

The updates are designed to protect your operational system from malware and virus attacks, removing them may cripple your system, I don't recommend it. But if you have programs you are no longer using that would be a good start.

How do I access the boot menu on an Everx gPC?

Once you power on the computer, and while the Everex splash screen is on, start tapping the F8 key (assuming this is a windows computer). That should give you the windows boot options. If this is not what you are looking for be more specific in your post. For example: what OS are you using? Is the system dual boot? Hope this helps

I bought a new flatscreen

it sounds like your hard drive is toast (broken)... the only way around it is to take the drive out of the computer that it is in... place it in another PC as a slave to that PC main hard drive... find either a recovery program for hard drives and make a image copy of your hard drive to another... or, take it to your local Geek store and have them do it for you... My Everex eXplora GS28 has

In your case, you may need to take step by step in order to find a culprit in what is causing the error. In a situation where you have no display on your monitor, there are many possiblity to the issue, and the best case scenerio to solving this promblem is having extra testing parts in order to actually know what is wrong. However 1) Check your monitor, if it's on, cable if they are secure and proper (power hdd lights) and if there are, take note of it and come back to tell us and we might be able to tell you what is wrong. 3) You will have to take this to a computer technician, as video card, bios, chipset, memory, cpu, or simply the motherboard is bad.... and the only way to make sure what is wrong is to have extra part to test this with. if it is giving you beeps, lights flashing, shutting down, and restarting automatic can better tell them/or us what is excatly causing the error. Sorry that this is no solution.... but before you do that, take your computer side panel off. when you see the motherboard ( the board with a fan and cable wiring going into) there is a battery about the size of a nickel and silver like a nickel, try to take that battery out, leave it out for a few second like 15sec, and then reinsert it back in, and then out everything back togheter and turn on your computer to see if anything work, if not, you have to take this to a tech to see what is actually wrong.

Monitor is saying no signal

Most times when pc boots up and you have this message it can be 2 things. Video card or the card driver it self. If you boot into safe mode by restarting and keep on pressing F8 key it should give you advanced system start up. If you cant see this you have to try installing different video card unless you want to try to reinstall your OS but you will loose all the data of the pc. You can find pretty cheap video cards in any store that has pc stuff like walmart or bestbuy. Good luck.

Cd rom drive wont open

try restarting the computer and attempt to open the drive immediately after it restarts, if it does not open the gears inside the drive that open and close the tray are jammed. If its a cheap drive you should just replace it, if not you can try to disassemble the drive and realign the tray / gears.
