Sony Ericsson K700i Cellular Phone Questions & Answers
I have lost my mobile and need help.
This depends on your country policies about mobiles.
On the box of your mobile you can find the IMEI number (International Mobile Equipment Identity) of your mobile phone. This number is a 16 digits number.
You can give this number to your phone company and they will blacklist your IMEI.
When the person who has your mobile inserts his own SIM card and use the phone, they will find who has the mobile and police will take actions against him.
This is the only thing you can do.
Please have in mind that this service may NOT be offered in your country.
If you have found this solution helpful please rate it as Solved, otherwise please ask again here.

Joystick problem
The joystick tends to be a bit of a problem on the K series. It's not so much the build quality - it is extremely strong and durable.
The main weakness of the joystick is the poor shielding from dead skin etc that falls into the gap, floats around, and gathers in the base of the joystick. This gums up the joystick, meaning it needs to be pressed HARD to push through the **** and operate the micro switch.
It is impossible to clean with brushes, cotton buds, cmopressed air etc. The crud needs to be broken down and washed away. The simplest way to do this is with electronic contact cleaner. This stuff comes in a spray can, with a long thin tube that fits into the trigger head.
This is what you do:
Go here to learn how to dismantle your cell (that link suits K750/W800).
Once you have the cell in pieces, grab the mainboard and contact cleaner and come back here.
Fit the tube to the triggerhead and spray the contact cleaner deep into the base of the joystick. Blast it in there for a few seconds then let it drain a bit, then repeat several times. Then repeat. And again. Get rid of all that crud messing up your beautiful cell
You'll feel a bit freaked out using contact cleaner. It runs off the circuitboard like water or very fine oil and you can't help but wonder if it's going to cause damage. But the beauty of contact cleaner is it evaporates without leaving any residue, and so it won't damage the mainboard at all. It also shouldn't set off water damage indicators.
Don't spray it on the lcd though (just incase - my k700 one went a bit funny, but then came good after a day). Keep the lcd away from the spray area.
Give the board a minute or two, then reassemble phone and test joystick. You should find a radical improvement. If still not 100%, try the whole process again, untill you can get no more improvement.
If after that it still isn't working properly, then your up for a new mainboard or to have a new joystick soldering in.
Hope that helps any game peeps out there who wanna fix their joysticks themselves.
It got mine sorted - it's like brand new
