How do you turn off?
At the back of the recorder there is a HOLD switch. Just push it up and the recorder will be turned off after 3 seconds.

What do I need to add in order to use panasonic
for using with vista ...if you have a connection cable ..you do not need anything else ..cause it will see the actual storage flash as a removable storage device ..present into My computer folder...if it does not sees it just go to control panel and run the add new hardware wizard...but ..in the moment you add it ..it will be seen just like an usb memory stick or any other memory card..

Upload files from Panasonic RR-US395 to Mac OS 10.4
I am assuming you are aware that this software is not available anywhere for the Mac. With that said, I only see two options for you (don't laugh at the obvious one):
1. Upload to a Windows based PC or PDA and transfer to the Mac.
2. Install a virtual environment for the Mac that supports Windows.

Window 98 Professional does recognize Panasonic RR-US395
Windows 98 Professional?
I don't think there is such a version. It's probably either Windows 98 or Windows XP Professional.
If a reboot does not help, the simplest thing to try is to reinstall the device driver registry entries for the USB port.
Assuming you have Windows XP, right-click "My Computer" and select "Manage". Under "System Tools", select "Device Manager". If Windows is detecting problems with any of the device drivers, the Device Manager entry will be flagged with a exclamation point caution sign. Otherwise, you can try removing all of the entries under "Universal Serial Bus controllers". To remove the entry, right-click it and select "Uninstall". Remember, this only removes the entry from the registry. Unless the drivers are corrupted or missing, you will likely not need the install disk to reinstall the entry. Once you are done, reboot and Windows will detect the USB controller(s) does not have an entry and will prompt you to reinstall it. Take the option to let Windows find the drivers for you. If this procedure does not work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for the device. If that does not work, you likely have a hardware problem - bad cable, bad connection, etc.
If you do indeed have Windows 98, it's been a while, but the above procedure should be similar.

The software you are requesting is available directly from Panasonic.
http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/soft/download/voice_editing11.htmlYou will need the serial number located underneath the battery of the unit in order to download the software. If you wish to keep your settings in the unit, do not leave the battery disconnected for longer than 30 seconds.
For future reference, make sure you completely uninstall any previous versions of the software before installing a new one. The latest version 1.1 will not install properly with existing versions. And, based on Panasonic's track record, you can probably count on future versions behaving the same.

Panasonic rr-us935 user account cannot download files from recorder to PC
Whats the environment like? If it is over a server or likes of, I suggest you trying your sharing/security options. If only an account administrator can do anything, it normally points to this problem....check settings that the admin account has to the settings your client has and see if there is a difference then work forward from there.
