Nadine, The software should be with your Panasonic on a disk. Only when the device is compliant with Windows 8, you can find the drivers for it on the Microsoft site. Older hardware, most of the time does not get new drivers, because the producer of it does not want to spend time to write new (and windows 8 compliant) drivers, because they don't sell the hardware anymore. I could have given the same answer in Dutch to, but the message would have been the same.

What i know, is that panasonic has no 64bit version driver for windows 7 for your device. however, the 32 bit version is available in there downloads.. i'm not exactly sure of its stability though. so please, check your windows 7 bit version.

otherwise, download the free Win XP virtual machine from Microsoft. I will load load the old Windows XP drivers and run okay. It works.. It is a bit of a pain launching the virtual machine every time you would want to use the recorder, but it works. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx .

Hola que tal, desafortunadamente hasta donde yo sé Panasonic no ha actualizado Drivers para Windows 7 desafortunada mente así pasa a veces, en realidad té recomiendo que si vas a invertir en otro equipo consideres tus opciones ya que la verdad es mejor una grabadora de voz profesional y de una Marca líder en el ramo de las grabaciones como Olympus Philips o Dictaphone normalmente cada que sale un sistema operativo nuevo se actualizan muy pronto con el asunto de los drivers yo te recomiendo esta grabadora por su precio creo que vale la pena cada dólar http://www.tvps.com/Products/Philips-9380-Pocket-Memo-Digital-Recorder---New-LFH-9380__PH-LFH-9380.aspx

Speaking as the messenger, if this doesn't achieve installation for you, Panasonic and the web have not been able to re-release the digital recorder's CD's or installation setup files, so unfortunantly the only course of action they have told people is that you can only exchange this item at the place of purchase.

I hope this settles things for you, and I am sorry about the bad news, but I hope you will grade me on the help I have provided in finding the only answer.

Check to see whether the unit is not locked or on hold. This setting tends to effect the volume control or lack thereof on some voice recorders.

Hello you probably need to get and adaptor to do it, you can fine some at http://www.tvps.com/Departments/Telephone-Recording/Telephone-Recording-Adapters.aspx some models they have directions how to connect to a telephone

You can just send an email to yourself while on the laptop and save the voice file as an ATTACHMENT to that email message.

Then just open the email and attachment when you get to the office computer and save the voice file somewhere on the office computer.

On GMail, the ATTACH FILE button is just under the SUBJECT line on the COMPOSE A NEW MESSAGE page.

When you click on that button, it will ask you to navigate to the location of the file on your computer. Do that, then just double click on it and the file will be loaded into the email message. When it is done loading, just send the email message. As long as the file is not huge, there should be no problem sending it.

What kind of Driver are you looking for? For Windows? What version of Windows if so?

This link to the software only UPDATES and is not a replacement for the original software. Per my conversation with Panasonic on 7/15/10 -- the Voice editing software is not available for download, you have to buy it from Panasonic.

At the back of the recorder there is a HOLD switch. Just push it up and the recorder will be turned off after 3 seconds.

for using with vista ...if you have a connection cable ..you do not need anything else ..cause it will see the actual storage flash as a removable storage device ..present into My computer folder...if it does not sees it just go to control panel and run the add new hardware wizard...but ..in the moment you add it ..it will be seen just like an usb memory stick or any other memory card..
