This means there is a "pack condition" and the charger believes the battery is bad.

Old batteries started not to

does the charger check out? use a volt ohm meter to check the chargers output. when you charge all four batteries us the meter to check the batteries charge. this should give you an idea where the problem is.

When the DeWALT DE9118 charger

It sounds like you need a new charger I'm afraid. If you want to double check though, take the housing apart (4x security torx screws in the underside corners) and check the little glass fuse on the pcb. If either main fuse or glass one is blown you have a problem with the board and it's not worth repairing. If both fuses are ok I would suggest you might have a dry solder or broken leg on one of the pcb components. You could possibly resolder it if you can find it and it has enough contact left.

I have a dewalt battery car charger that does not

check to see if there is an internal in line fuse check pcb to see if burnt anywhere . make sure adapter and wire are in good shape check to see if lighter is working , could have blown fuse

I HAVE DEWALT CHARGER DE9116.ITS OUT PUT VOLTAGE

check output voltage on charger label most chargers are not regulated so if it says 18 volt output it may put out 24 volts but if its putting out 51 volts it may have a short batteries will get warm but not hot replace charger

HOW WILL I KNOW IF BATTERY IS BAD OR THE CHARGER

ON UR CHARGER U WILL FIND: Diagnostics with LED indicator are 5 indicators to communicate battery charge status: charged, charging, power line problem, replace pack, and battery too hot or too cold.
