Will not all door to close when loading cassette

Open the door completely and set the camcorder in record mode. Remove the battery shut the door and plug it back in. I have tried it on nearly 3 brands of cassette type camcorders(Panasonic, Sony and JVC) and it worked. Might be worth a try.

You'll need a Frame Grabber to transfer video off the tape to a TV using the A/V cable for the camera. Google Frame Grabber to find one that suits your budget.

Safegaurd mode

Unfortunately this is a repair issue. There are several failures that can occur, none of which will be resolved without service, that create this safeguard situation. Often the fpc cable which carries sensor information to the micro has been injured and that requires repair. Good luck, magic seadog

I Have lines across screen, when in play back

This is usually caused by an oxidized, misaligned or defective Audio/Video drum. You can try running a cleaning tape through the camera. If this does not solve the problem the camera will need to be serviced by a qualified service technician.

I have an applemac pro

You need a USB cable. Most miniDV cameras that take stills will have a small USB socket on the camera. These vary according to model. There is mini USB as well as Micro USB and other proprietary sockets. Usually the camera is supplied with the camera.
When the camera is connected to a Mac iPhoto should open automatically to transfer the photos.

How do i fix my

Hi.

Safeguard mode error 03 is a traction problem. It means that the motor could not pull the tape. If possible remove the tape. With tape out, remove and reinsert the battery to reset the camcorder. Restart the camcorder and use a new cassette to test it.

Here the technical explanation from service manual.

If the tape does not eject, try removing and reinserting battery with cassette inside, then try again removing cassette.

If the error does not occur with new cassette, then the cassette that was inside is the problem.

If the error comes back with a different tape (test a new one), then the problem is the traction mechanics in camcorder, in that case the camcorder will need disassembling.
If the error is persisting, you can get a quote on repair calling JVC number listed on manual, or using a third part repair service like this one:Repair.

Regards.

Ginko.
