It does sound like a power supply issue.. IF you keep making it come on to watch your going to probably cause some more damage so I recommend not watching it until its fixed..
As far as replacing the power supply here is one at shopjimmy be sure to verify the EAY32929001 part number and make sure its the same as the part listed on your tv power supply.. but it should be the correct one..

If you are skilled at soldering you can replace the defective filter capacitors which are whats causing your problem. If you click the link and blow up the picture. The capacitors are the large black cylinder parts that are shiney on the top. Also you will notice in the picture they have 2 slits on top on each capacitor making it look like an X on top. The defective capacitors will be swollen out the top like the old jiffypop popcorn lol. The bad ones are pretty obvious. On that model you can expect to replace 5- 10 of them. Be sure to replace with the exact same uf values.. Like 2200uf @ 10volts. You need to replace with 2200uf (microfarad) the voltage if a little higher is fine and actually is good. If its too much higher though the sizes will be different so its best just to be a little higher.. Say a 16volt capacitor replaced with a 25 or a 10volt replaced with a 16 is fine..
Or use the same value voltage as the original.. BUT the uf (microfarad needs to match.. They are available here

If your soldering skills are questionable then I wouldnt recommend placing the parts yourself..
You can expect to pay 150-225.00 to have the job done by an experienced TV Tech. depending on your location
You can also check here for the board on ebay I saw them starting at 80.00 for used ones..

Considering that the capacitors are probably between 4-9.00 a piece you might consider replacing the board
Good Luck and hope I covered all the options!
