Probably a connection on one of the many ribbon plugs. I just didn't do anything on mine and it went away after a while

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. Go to EBAY and look up a capacitor repair kit for your model kit. They cost $20 to $30. This is to fix the power supply board which is the middle board. Be sure to note polarity of the capacitors you replace. There is a positive and a negative on them and that must be observed. Use a magic marker and mark the top of each cap as you replace it. Replace all caps supplied in the kit even if old ones don't look puffed out. This should fix your power supply. I did this on a friend's set over a year ago and the power supply is still ok.

Check and replace its main power supply regulator board as card basis. Normally, there is no repair to these boards of plasma TVs. Any attempt to repair this board, will result both waste of time and money. And more, after replace this board, you have to adjust the Vs & Va voltages, according to the plasma panel label too. You need to be careful around the capacitors as they can definately shock you. But if you have diagnostic and soldering experience its possible to repair the board. However schematics for those boards are almost non existant since they were designed for board replacemet repairs only. But for most its easier to just replace the Board. What type of connections are you using? HDMI? Component? Composite? What audio? HDMI? Optical Digital? Analog audio?Are you saying you get video from the PS3, but it is in Black&White only? Is there an NTSC/PAL selector on the PS3? If so, it may be set wrong. Set to NTSC if you're in the United States.

check for defective component part at the z and y sustain board.

After its on for 15 minutes, feel the heat sinks on the y board ( on the far left side) if they are cold then replace that and the upper and lower drive boards that attach to the Y main.

The exit button on the remote may not be working or some other button on the remote is jammed. Try removing the battery of the remote and switch off the TV manually and the input power. Wait for a few minutes and then switch on the TV manually. The try changing the menu from the TV control panel. If nothing works, this is a case to be handled by a qualified service technician.
