How to open atx power supply
Don't open it. Buy a new one if it's not working. If you touch the wrong thing in there you will die. I'm not kidding.
My computer will not turn
The power supply is very inexpensive and can most likely be bought from any of your computer retailers, Amazon - Just make sure to confirm the right model type of power supply. BEST to have it tested before replacing it. To make sure that is the issue.. Many computer shops will test for free. If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at

My power supply is blinking green light and my PC has no power
plug your pc directly to your wall outlet and see if it turns on. If it works, then the problem is your power supply. If power supply has a reset button, press it and try again. If pc does not turn on when plugged to wall outlet, then power supply for pc may be out.

Bad power supply?
Do yo have a volt meter or an atx psu tester?
you can check voltage to see
If a power supply is bad, your pc will turn off or/and turn on and turn off. As long as your system is running without and shut downs your good.
However if your pc is turing off, I would change it as soon as you can. basically what is
happening, when you unplug everything there isn't much of a draw on power
so the light remains steady, but when you plug devices in there is a
draw and the PSU cannot deliver.
I hope this helps.

Flashing Green Light on Power BESTEC Power Supply
Hi. NO, *********** board is not fried. I am not sure what the problem is but I do know how to fix it. It is usually casued by power outages (even if you have UPS supply).
1. TAKE OUT THE ELECTRICITY LEAD TO THE COMPUTER. Look inside the computer and find the bunch of wires coming from the power supply unit (the box thing at the top with the fan and all those colouted wires!).
2. Find where these wires run into a plastic connector and plug into the mother board. Unplug it.
3. Now plug the electicity lead back into the computer. The light should now stay ON.
4. Plug in the connector again... and boot up. Leave it run a while to convince it!
5. Repeat this process if it does not work first time.
This should fix your problem . It works for me when I get this problem.

The keyword below is Mercurythis tells me it is those pesky CCFL glow tubes. 2007 is the year some PC went to LED back lamps. yes I was correct the service manual I did find proves they made both lamp types
