GE GSS25WSTSS 25.4 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with External Controls and Dispenser Questions & Answers
Ice maker dispenser gets stuck.
I have this identical unit and have had this identical problem. What we do is remove the entire ice container from the refrigerator and shake it to break up the ice inside or we remove large chunks of adjoined 'cubes' and replace the entire tray/container and it has worked fine for us thereafter.
Ge gss22 where is the ice maker supply valve
Pull the refrigerator out and follow the water line to the back. It will go to a double valve solenoid. One half is for your water dispenser, the other for the ice maker. It is possible that this solenoid has failed. You can order the part online and replace it pretty cheaply. Just remember to turn off the water supply (usually under the sink) and unplug the refrigerator before hand and have a towel ready to catch water that will drain from the lines. To order the new part get the full model number of your refrigerator and go to the GE website and look up their replacement parts page. You should be able to search for that model and all of its related replacement parts there.

This might more simple than it seems, or maybe not. Try pulling both handles downward to lock them in. The handles are removedjust as easy by pulling them up. My first guess is either it never was fully seated or second the handle has slop between the locking area "manufacture defect". Let me know please.
I have a GSS25WST side by side
The door light switch controls the evaporator fan which circulates the air through out the unit properly. Replace the bad switch and things should go back to normal. WR23x10161 at about 10.00. Good luck. Rick
Ice dispenser doesn't work
You need to replace the motor and the " U " piece that screws onto the motor . You may have to saw the motor shaft , to remove the motor , if the U piece will not screw off . Remove the panel which holds the motor ( 4 screws ) and disconnect the plug , and the whole panel should come out .
