E-Machines T5010 PC Desktop Questions & Answers
Corrupt windows file. do not have restore disk.
maybe you can try this. first know the model of your computer then search the internet from another computer on how to recover your system. most probably the installer is in the harddrive if you don't have any recovery disk. else, if you have a bootable usb or disk boot from it then see if there is a folder "I386" in drive "c:/". this is the folder of your windows installer. then select "win.exe" if you boot up on dos or select "win32.exe" if you bootup from winternals (windows of a bootable usb)
Need a copy of recovery
you'll have to contact e-machines for that sadly I cannot find a phone # you'll have to contact them via e-mail or chat.

If i turn on my t5010, screen remains black
isolate the lcd that you have by using a different monitor or lcd as well. if the other units work then your lcd is deffective. but if it works, the the video card adapter is defective. in order to test that you have to use other video card adapter as well. if still won't work, change your memory module. that is the last one for the screen that has no display.
T-5010 Power supply issue
the voltage switch should be a small red switch, right below where the power cord plugs in. you will need a small screwdriver to switch it easily.
if you are getting no power at all, i would also check all the wiring connections on the motherboard from the ATX power switch. these are not that hard to dislodge and could also account for your problem.
hope this helps
My Emachine T5010 reboots on Windows loading screen.
Before windows loads press F8 on the keyboard to get an advanced menu.
choose the option that says disable automatic restart on error and see what error you get.
Also try the Safe Mode option.
That click sounds like the harddrive is failing.
I have emachine t5010 not booting. I receive error message
This means the system can't read from your hard drive. This might be due to a loose data or power cable connection. You can open the computer and make sure all the connections are firmly seated. It might also be a power supply problem. The hard drive may have failed. Or the drive may been wiped clean (or at least had its boot sector destroyed) as the result of a virus. A problem on the system board might have developed. Troubleshooting would involve booting from a CD to run diagnostic software, substituting known good parts, or both.

Cpu upgrade
Hi Keith... here is all I could find on this machine, I assume this is how yours is set up. Component details are almost impossible to get on E-machine units, they just do not provide them.
- Processor Intel Celeron D 356 / 3.33 GHz
- Memory 512.0 MB / 2.0 GB (max)
- Hard Drive 120.0 GB - 7200.0 rpm
- Operating System Microsoft Windows Vista
First, you want to check to see if your proc even can be changed; many of E-machine procs are permanently attached to the motherboard and cannot be removed; this is the cheapest way to manufacture a computer, and E-machines is bottom of the line quality computer (no insult intended, just fact). Since I don't know what CPU socket the T3604 has I can't tell you if the Intel CPU would fit it. Next, I don't know what the Northbridge is running at; if it is less than 1066 there will be a bottleneck and there is no significant gain. At this point, I suggest that you not spend a lot of money on this, better to save and build your own computer. If you are a hardcore gamer looking for high framerates you really don't want this machine. Better to load in more RAM if you have no other options. Here is something I ran across:

If I had the above details I could give you an answer.
My emachine t1831-07 keeps getting stuck on green
www.dynamite.com might still sell what you want :> Just kiddding!Try a complete wiping of the hard-drive unless you are doing an upgrade, you will lose all data on the drive. If that doesn't work, you might not be running enough ram memory for 7 to run cleanly on you machiine, go ahead and upgrade.Hope this helps!
