Hoover F6020-900 SteamVac Upright Vacuum Questions & Answers
Water is coming from bottom when useing the hose.
You'll have to find out where it's leaking! Its not real hard. I will help you!1. Fill the clean water tank. Check that the valve on this tank doesn't let water through when not on the machine. If it does this the tank is the problem. 2. Take off the 4-6 phillips screws holding the hood on to the machine. They will be on each corner underneath. Be Gentle! Do not break any of the plastic parts. 3. Check where the clean water comes to a L valve. This valve is a very common problem. Place the water tank on the machine. DO NOT hold the handle down. Use paper towel to check for wet spots if you can't see where it is leaking. It should be fairly obvious. 4. If the water is coming from the "back" of the machine or the handle pry the cover off the inside of the handle revealing the hoses. The water release valves may be leaking. Be sure to check all hoses for cracks or breaks. Simply find the water.. and trace it back. 90% of the time it is the L valve which looks like this:http://www.vacuummedic.com/product.php?id=231Carefully put the machine back together not forgetting anything and test!Good Luck!!Vac Dr.

How do you remove brushes and clean under the
I too have this machine. On this particular model the brushes are not removable like on the newer versions. You can either purchase a "cleaning wand" from Hoover OR create your own as follows: Simply obtain a pendaflex hanging file folder (legal size) and remove the metal rods. These rods work exactly like the Hoover wand they try to sell you. They are quite flexible and easily slide thru the clear plastic openings at base of cover. The hooked ends work wonders in removing furballs, hair and other debris that gets trapped under the cover.
