Kogi l5qx-ta ko 15" Flat Panel LCD Monitor Questions & Answers
Does not work with new desktop
All you have to do is change the monitor resolution to that mode. That's probably the maximum resolution you will get with that monitor, video card, and comptuer.
Picture is too tall - how do you make it shorter?
The buttons on the front of your monitor will have a set up. When you get into setup mode there will be a bunch of symbols. Use the other buttons to scroll around to the correct one. It will be the one with the arrows pointing to the top and bottom of the screen.
There should be either a + - button or something like that. Just push the one that makes the screen shorter to the desired height.
cheers and good luck
Kogi L5QX monitor is not centered,
I tried the suggestion on one of your posts. Simultaneously, pushing in the two middle buttons on the front of the monitor. I figured it out from there. Thank you!
There is an internal crack in the screen.
No fear there, you have likely only cracked the protective glass covering and not the display itself, if the display itself was cracked then you would either lose your video or have a severe distortion in the area of the crack.
So dont sweat it!

Goes Blank
ok ... i answered your last post as well. is there a reset button on it. the few lcd monitors i've worked on required pressing the far left hand button on the front to reset it.

Green light on - screen on briefly, then goes black.
Replacement is probably the only option at this point. It would cost more to fix than it would be worth new. Try going to:
www.tigerdirect.com
www.newegg.com
They are usually running cheap specials on monitors.
I have a Kogi 15"
This is the cord you're looking for. It's the same as the power cord for PCs. Only difference is the right end of the cable as that depends on which country you are in. You should be able to grab one of these at your nearest PC shop.
My moniter will not turn
Power is "spitting back". In effect, not completing a circuit due to internal damage in the monitor. Try looking to see if the power socket on the monitor is loose, looks burned or worn. Check the DC adaptor to see you are getting the right voltage. If you are, and there is no wear on the jack socket, the power capacitors have gone in the monitor. If the jack IS worn, youmay be able to get it replaced fairly cheaply
Recommand Mode 1280x1024
Hello.
The maximum screen setting for your video card may not be supported by the
monitor.
Boot the computer and keep hitting F8 then choose Safe Mode. Once in Safe Mode, decrease the video settings or set them to the recommended settings.
Reboot and it should take effect with no further problems.
If you can't get
the correct setting because the video card needs a driver, you'll need to
download the driver on another PC and burn to CD, then install the driver in
safe mode and reboot.
Hope this helps.
Need a power supply for KOGI 'L7YN' 17 in monitor
Look online at any of the different vendors. Everyone has their favorite sites as do I. My suggestion is to google your power supply and look at a half dozen or so of the hits. You'll find the price differences well worth the money you'll save for the few minutes spent looking at them!
