Yes! You just need to download the driver at HP. I have found the link for you... Lost cd install Remember to select your Operating System (OS). I'm guessing you are using Windows 7.

I'm looking for my hp

HP at their website, HP.com, I registered with a user name and password years ago, has recently added a diagnostic app which you download to your PC. It accurately identifies your equipment, and leads you to a variety of tools which diagnose your issues and either lists the files (which they have) of drivers or whatever you might need, or will automatically download and install the files for you. Also, the last three times I have had an HP related problem with little input from third party websites or products, their agents spent all the time I needed doing in person what their auto apps would have done had I understood or known they were available at the time.If you call during warranty period, most of mine has been 90 days to a year, it is free. Don't know what it might cost otherwise. They have also taken speech classes and have mid west accents for the most part for all you nationalists out there...Good luck with your problems. My last HP DeskJet and separate scanner both lasted 18 years before breaking for good... My tower PC's were as good, but the three laptops I have had have all burnt out in 2-3 years maybe even less... with poor cooling and ventilation engineering. The new line of 4400 series laptops/notebooks run about 15 degrees Celsius cooler than all my previous pavilions.... Don't know about any of their other lines...

Installation of HP deskjet 3550 in Windows 7

If you have the disk it should self install once you put the software disk in. If you don't have the disk go to hp.com and then click on support. There you will find a driver and download link and can download your software there. Depending on what antivirus you are using you may need to disable it in order to install the software.

Hi. I cannot find where to check the ink level in

When you installed the printer from the HP-supplied CD-ROM, you installed the HP Printing Assistant. Use its "maintenance" tab to check ink-cartridge levels.

Or, open Control Panel, and open Printers, and right-mouse-click the printer, and choose Properties, and you should be able to use a utility program to check the levels.

My HP 3550 deskjet will simply not print. It goes

Check ink-levels -- no ink means no printing.
Run a few more "print-head-cleaning" cycles -- clogged ink-jets cannot spray ink onto the paper.
