Heating element will not heat , the element is ok

GOD IS STILL GOOD !!!! ELECTRIC Dryer no heat or little heat, or shuts down to fast: Check your venting and lint basket. Check blower for lint build up and blower wheel obstruction., test by trying to turn the wheel manually by hand (should be easy) May have to remove cabinet or front/back plate to get to it) Next check the heating element itself with a meter for continuity OHMS CLOSED CIRCUIT. If not its defective or has a short if its grounding out? Which in turns causes blown fuses or thermostats or overheating. Check dryer Terminal block prongs both outside prongs should give combined 220, and 110 each if u check 1 outside & 1 center (ground) prong. Also check house electrical outlet for full voltage. 220 because if u only get half or 110 volts you will be able to run the machine which uses only 110 to run motor but not the heater which uses a full 220, Check the thermal cut off, the cycling and the hi limit thermostats. For continuity or OHMS. If no ohms or resistance they need replacement. In some dryer's the control panel relies on a thermistor rather than a CYCLING thermostat to regulate the drum's air temperature by monitoring the component's resistance changes; resistance goes down as temperature increases and up when temperature decreases. Once the drum's air temperature reaches a certain level required to dry clothes, the control panel shuts off the heater. The panel will turn the heater on again and begin another heating cycle when the thermistor indicates that more heat is needed to keep the air temperature constant inside the drum Lastly check your moister sensor. ( located inside the dryer door usually) Especially if machine seems to shut down early and clothes are still wet. Test with a meter at room temperature and it should show continuity. A failed moisture sensor will affect the dryer run time in the automatic moisture sensing cycle but it will not affect the heating of the dryer or the timed cycle. Which are reflected by the thermostats. Read more :http://www.ehow.com/info_12203962_check-dryer-thermistor.html

After fitting a new time to a hotpoint CDT00

Sometimes even one connection can make the circuit non functionable and so it can be due to a wrong connection. I request that you check once again and logically check the lines to go in order to start the cycle, INLET, cut off from the water level sensor, Start motor, stop and drain, spin and rinse, fill water and then for final dry and drain pump.Check for all leads to be correct, check if the stepper motor works in circuit to move forward after the main power is switched. Check this link for tips: washing machine

Can I straight wire my Hotpoint dryer

It is best to leave the plug on the power cable as if there is an issue, it can be isolated from power without delay.

Hotpoint Aquarius dishwasher DWF34S/42 no power - possible fuse blown

Based on your description, it sounds like there was a short circuit in the dishwasher which caused the fuse to blow and the burning smell. It is possible that the burnt connection you are seeing is related to the short circuit. If you have experience with electrical repairs, you can try to identify and replace the burnt connection. However, if you are not comfortable with electrical work, it is recommended that you seek the assistance of a qualified technician to avoid any potential safety hazards. In any case, before attempting any repairs, make sure that the dishwasher is disconnected from the power source and that all safety precautions are taken.

Hotpoint CTD80 Clothes Dryer. Shows no error codes but high heat not working. Stats seem fine?

Question edited to add Maker. Question moved to Hotpoint. Most dryers have 2 elements, one for low, and one for medium. High heat is both elements together. My guess is that your medium element has failed and you are only getting low heat. Test with a multimeter or call for service. https://www.google.com/search?q=Hotpoint+Ctd+80+P+tumble+dryer+parts ..

My Hotpoint dryer, tumbler stopped working and start button wont stay on when I push to start? Is this the starter button?

It might be the start button not making contact or it could be the control board. It depends on the model, Hotpoint has made a few in the last 50 years. Whip your multimeter out and check the switch for continuity.

The drum wont spin on my Hotpoint CTD00 dryer

Remove top cover, and see if the belt is intact, if it is then it could be the motor is not working for one reason or another, this would entail further investigation.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

How do I remove bra wire from hotpoint v3d01 tumble dryer

It really depends on where it is stuck, and you don't tell us that. If it is down where the filter is, you can get it with a magnet taped to a stick. If it is between the drum and the outer drum you may be able to open out a coat hanger and pull it towards the edge. Depending on the age of the dryer, it might be time for a full strip-down service and do some maintenance. Grease the bearings, oil the drum slides and remove all the lint that hides inside and causes 'Dryer Fires'. You are not alone, and there are videos to help you. https://www.google.com/search?q=remove+bra+wire+from+hotpoint+v3d01 ..

I have a hotpoint aquarius tdc 30 conderser

Hi, Well if it is getting hot but not drying the clothes than most likely you have an airflow problem. Take off the vent hose on the back of the dryer. It will be plugged up with lint either inside that vent on the dryer or the hose will be plugged somewhere. If you clean this or just plain replace the old hose this will take care of the problem. Good Luck. feed back is appreciated.
