You have to pull the back off the dryer.Then you,ll be able to see how it comes off.Ussally its on two pulleys similar to a car.There may be a tensioner on it to to keep it from slipping.If there is one you,ll have to losen it to remove the belt & replace it,then tighten the tensioner back up.Ussally you keep about a 1/4" to 1/2" free play on the belt.You use a sraight edge on the two pulleys to measure it with the belt on,tighten belt tensioner till you have the recommended tighteness.

Where is the fuse located? There are several in a dryer.

if the fuse is the right load for this dryer but keeps blowing then there is a sever fault in the dryer this could be in the wiring loom or more likely in the motor the dryer is pulling far to many amps and the fuse should then blow to protect the house wiring from catching "fire!"
yes i did say "fire!" so dont try up-rateing the fuse,,,,thats asking for it!
i would not use this dryer till you have it looked at,,,you will be risking a dryer or house fire if you do,,,

You need new bearings. Or you can open the machine up and use WD40. You'll need vice grips and sockets for this job.

While sliding the old belt off of the drum and pulleys loop one end of the new belt around the drum. Adjust the belt so it fits into the middle of the belt groove.Now Position the other end of the belt around the motor pulley. Pull the idler pulley toward you. Position the belt along the groove of the idler pulley. Release the idler pulley to make the belt tight.

First unplug the electrical cord before replacing the dryer belt.Pull open the dryer door and locate the screws underneath the top lip that secure the top of the dryer.

Unfasten the screws holding the top on with a screwdriver and lift the top, flipping it back and resting it on the hinges.Unfasten the holding the front panel on the cabinet, using a screwdriver. These screws are at the top on the inside of the panel.Disconnect the door switch wires on the back of the front panel by hand, pulling the connector straight out off the electrical prongs and setting the front panel aside.

Locate the idler arm pulley next to the motor on the bottom of the cabinet near the back and push the idler arm forward to relieve the tension on the old belt.Remove the old belt from around the idler and motor pulleys as well as from around the dryer drum and take the belt out of the dryer cabinet.Place the new dryer belt around the drum in the center of the cabinet, fitting the belt inside the V-groove in the center of the drum, and lay the rest of the belt on the bottom of the cabinet near the idler pulley so you can access it easily.

Move the idler arm forward to allow room for the belt and thread the end of the new belt around the idler arm pulley and over the motor pulley, letting the idler arm move back to apply tension to the new belt. Check the new belt over to verify that it is lined up correctly in the V-groove on the drum and around the pulleys and that there are no twists in the belt.

Place the front panel back on the dryer cabinet, securing it with the screws on the top of the panel with a screwdriver, and plug the door switch wires back into the electrical prongs, pressing the switch wires on by hand on the back of the front panel.Lower the top of the dryer back down onto the cabinet and secure it with the screws underneath the lip of the front panel.

Plug the electrical cord of the Hotpoint dryer into the electrical outlet.

Check the bias thermostat on the blower wheel housing, thermal fuse, high limit thermostat, and heating element on the back of the machine for continuity with a multimeter. Remove the electrical panel with the timer,start switch,etc from the machine by removing the screws that hold it to the top of the machine.
Remove the lint filter, and the two screws that attach the housing to the top of the machine.
Most of the time you would use a screw driver at the corners of the lid to pry between the lid and the top of the body of the machine and it is held on by clips...but sometimes the lid will also slide to be removed.

Hairspray is an excellent solution to the ballpoint pen ink problem. Buy the cheapest you can find and spray, let the spray sit on the spots for a few seconds and wipe with a paper towel.
