Sharp AR-M162 All-In-One Laser Printer Questions & Answers
Sharp AR-m162 is printing from my computer but refuses to scan to the computer. It worked fine yesterday.
Run Sharpdesk network scan tool. in low right of your taskbar click on network scan tool
create a profile in profile tab, This will show up on sharp display as an avaiable location to scan to.you can choose where to scan to and what program if any to open when recieving a scan. Next in scanners tab click "auto detect" it will find available sharp scanners on the network. check one you want to use in the box in the list click "ok" close it make sure it is running in the task bar and add it to startup if need be but you should be good to go after this

Reset instructions
It's likely that a thermostat has tripped but to reset you can try the following:
Press # * C * quite quickly. When the quantity display goes blank, enter 14 then press the start key. This resets the code but if there is a problem with the thermistor, thermostat or lamp in the fuser the code may reappear.
Good luck

You should be able to find the procedure in the user manual, but in general on Sharp copiers, there is a screw hole underneath the scanner on the left hand side where you can insert a screw that came with the machine which goes up into the scanner carriage and keeps it from shifting or jiggling in transit.
If you don't have the user guide, you can probably find one online, and if you don't have the screw, any similarly-sized screw that will fit in the hole should work.
