Arris Wireless G Broadband Router (wr850g) Questions & Answers
Opening NAT for xboxlive with WR850G Motorola
Do you have a DMZ on this router. If you turn on the DMZ and set your ip address for the xbox as your DMZ it may/may not work, but it is worth a shot. What that does is open up anything going to your xbox 360 so there should be no firewall between the router and the xbox.
Connecting to the wireless router

How to reset password on router?
There is a little pinhole button that resets the router to the factory defaults. On some routers it is on the "back" somewhere near the switch ports, on others it is discretely placed on the bottom in a corner, and on others still it is on the front.
Can't reset my the password for my wr850g
I assume that pressing and holding the reset button did not work for you. Try pressing the reset button, and while holding it, power off the unit, wait 10 seconds and then power on again, holding for another 10 seconds. This can be tricky, but it should work.
Need to access my Motorola
Hi,
You
might need to reset your router to the factory settings. First go to
http://www.routerpasswords.com/ , select the manufacturer and make a
note of the default usernames and passwords.
Then reset your router, by holding the reset button in the back for about 20 seconds.
This will reset it to default settings, and the password on the website above will work
Not able to connect
If you have a static IP address, you will need to put that information into the router through the web interface. Find the IP of your router by pressing CTRL+R and type in CMD. Then type 'ipconfig' without the (')s. Press enter then find where it says Gateway:. It should be something like 192.168.x.x Type that into a browser to bring up the web interface, usually there is a password, and that info should be located on the unit itself, if the password doesnt work either contact your ISP or reset the router. Once your in, put the IP address that your ISP gave you int the WAN section. Save settings and you should be good.
Hope that helps!
