Look on the back of the radio. There is a little door you can open near the top, not the battery compartment. Inside this little door you will find 3 individual tuning knobs for the presets. Low tech, but it works!

Sony CFD-F10 wont play cds,
Hello,
how long have you been using this player? The problem should be from the lens (laser).
The lens is weak and that's why it cannot read/load Cd's. The weak lens is also what's making it say "no disc".
Get a lens cleaner and use it to clean the lens, but if the lens still does the same thing even after using the lens cleaner, then it means you would have to change the whole lens completely to a brand new one.
By so doing your player would play all Cd's with no problem at all.
Good luck.
How do I get it
Many portable 'boombox' recorders do not include a microphone for recording ambient sound, but can only record from one internal source to another, like radio or CD to Cassettte. Some do include an input jack for microphones or other audio sources, but you'll need to check your device's specs/ports to be sure.
Can i connect an ipod
if the boom box has a Aux input socket somewhere the you need a male to male wire (like headphones but has plug on both ends) or go to dollar store and get one that leads to a cassette Sorry I can't remember what they are called but the cassette has a metal strip instead of a ribbon and then plug the wire into i pod and set boombox to tape, good luck
P.s ipod may have different port sizes but headphone jack should be the same
Sony cd radio cassetteplayer says no disc when disc is in player
Make sure your cd medium is compatible with your Sony unit. Some cd types that have been burned on a computer may not be compatible. Check your instruction book for your Sony unit to see what types of cd medium you can use.. Also, the lens on you cd player could be dirty and may need a cleaning
CLICK HERE to see the Radio Shack lens cleaner. You can also get them at may other locations like Walmart, Target, Sears, and Best Buy. Good Luck! : )
