My Belkin F6C1500-TW-RK UPS DOES NOT LIGHT UP (PWR ON) WHEN PLUGED IN, USING NEW BATTERIES.

I returned from a trip to find my F6C1000W-TWRK and all devices powered off with no lights. Tried to reset the AC breaker on the back but it wasn't tripped. I confirmed good mains power then tried to power it on by holding the main power button but no action. removed the batteries (2x 7AHr 12V sealed Pb-acid) and confirmed one was 0V and the other around 2V. I attempted to charge each indpednatly on a Jusni iCharger but both wouldn't take a charge. As this seemed suspicious that both batteries would fail simultaneously, I took the unit apart and found the two 40A on-board fuses for the DC lead intact. Then on inspecting more, there was a distinct brown discoloration around the large aluminum heatsink with "IG0" component mounted under it (and presumably "IG1" but I didn't dismantle further). Bottomline is it appears this component can eventually overheat (likely due to an electrolytic going bad and stressing it beyond it's thermal limits until it finally fails). I haven't attempted repair as new quality batteries are approx $60 shipped so I am going to buy an all new unit. If anyone attempts repair for this failure mode, please post back your experience. Thanks !

Dear, Please check following 1. Are you using correct gauge of wire for batteries (Specification mentioned in the manual) 2. You need to charge your batteries at least for 8 hours (as recommended by Mercury) 3. Please place your Inverter in a cool environment (20 to 30 C) 4. Nominal voltage of battery should be 12Volt if using 1x Battery. Regards.

Belkin F6C1500 UPS will not run on batteries

I think your issue is that the unit is overloaded. Try this...unplug a couple of items to get the load lower...then pull the plug from the wall...did it keep those few units running while disconnected...if not then the unit could still be overloaded...unplug everything but a small electric radio...do the same thing to see if it will keep the radio playing. If this doesnt work, go by your nearest batteriesplus store and they can help. www.batteriesplus.com

Belkin F6C1500-TW-RK 1) Batteries needed changing. 2)

That small explosion could have been caused by only one thing - an electrolytic capacitor that has failed. When it has failed it turned into a big short that has massively overstressed the power transistors so they all failed. The live of a filtering capacitor isn't greater than 5 years so all your other UPS units are close to meeting the same fate. Check all capacitors and all other components that might have been damaged by the short and look at the capacitors from the other units - bulging is a sign of imminent failure.

Not holding a charge can it be repaired or better

If your UPS is not holding Charges, this means that the Battery does not carry the load when AC fails. Check to see that the batteries are okay by testing the individual batteries on load using a potentiometer load with multimeter. If the battery voltage drops below 10V replace the batteries and your UPS be okay

Mtv music generator detecting directx 7

ok... so I've now installed this on my new pc that i built... first in order to get it to install at all you must download DirectX 7.0 and right click to "--(edit compatibility settings to windows 98/Me and run as administrator)--" remember this as well be doing it a few times. once you do that install DirectX 7.0 and say yes to all. now that this is installed take the .iso file you have and burn it to a cd or DVD-r, once burned you need to go to my computer and right click on the cd/DVD drive, select open (NOT open autoplay), inside the disc menu i want you to go to 2 files... "setup" and "start" need to also have their compatibility settings changed to the above settings. now that these are set stay in the cd menu and double click "setup" this will take you through the setup procedure. after the setup procedure is finished do not view the notes, and continue back to the desktop. now from your start menu load the game and it should run

I cannot connect to the

you need more than a wireless adapter to connect to the internet......
you need a wireless network to connect to. in cafe's and pubs the owner sometimes sets up a WiFi network that their patrons can connect to, however most people have to provide their own.

to get to the internet , you will need.

A broadband connection (ADSL / Cable) this normally comes with a standard NON wifi modem
A WiFi Router (including ADSL / Cable Modem) depending on what you have already.

then to link a remote PC / Laptop to this network, A suitable wireless adapter ( like your belkin adapter)

it is a common misconception that a wireless adapter is all you need (advertising is vague)

Blue light flashing

Do a hard reset, usually there is a button on the back of the router. With power plugged in,press and hold reset button 15 sec. then without releasing button remove power plug and hold an additional 15 sec.,then plug power cord back in and hold an additional 15 sec. After that release the reset button and it should reset to default. You may need to do this a few times but it should solve your issue.

How do I Reset my Belkin wifi Extender?

Using the reset button The location of your range extender's reset button will vary depending on its model. The reset begins once you press and hold thereset button for at least 10 seconds while the range extender is powered ON. The Status Light on the the range extender will momentarily flash and will then begin to blink. When the light becomes solid again, the reset is complete. Using the web-based setup page If using the physical button does not work, you can access the range extender's web-based setup page and do the reset from there. Before you begin:
  • Make sure that the wireless computer or device you're using to access the web-based setup page is connected to the same network as the range extender.
  • You need to identify the IP address that your router has assigned to your range extender. Locate this by accessing your router's DHCP Client table. Once you have the range extender's assigned IP address, use it to access your range extender's web-based setup page.
  • Alternatively, you can enter "http://192.168.206.1" in the web browser's Address bar if your range extender has NOT detected a DHCP server in your network.
Step 1: In the web-based setup page of the range extender, go to Utilities and select Restore Factory Defaults. QUICK TIP: You may be prompted to log in with your range extender's administrator password. If you have not set any, simply leave the field blank and click on Submit. Step 2: Click on the Restore Factory Defaults button. Your Belkin range extender should now be restored to its factory default settings.
