Xerox One Touch 2400 Flatbed Scanner Questions & Answers
Xerox Synergix A0 Scanner setup
As far as I know you need either the Xerox Accxes controller (like a dedicated PC) or a wide-format printer with the built-in Accxes controller, like the Xerox 8825 model. The 8825 has the firewire input and communicates just fine with the YWC-1.
Power lead required
You can use any 12-Volt DC power supply capable of sourcing at least 1A. This is probably the most common transformer voltage and most people have at least one lying unused around their home. If not, they are easy to find at thrift shops. Just read the label, which must indicate that the output is 12VDC, 1 Amp. Greater than 1 Amp is fine, less that 1 Amp will not do. The label should also indicate the polarity of the connectors, and this is shown with a drawing of a small circle within a larger one. On the type you want, the smaller circle indicates the center conductor of the connector, and will be associated with a "+" sign, and the outer circle a "-". The only other thing you need to check is that the connector is the right size. Here again, the one you need to fit the scanner is probably the most commonly used, and rather easy to recognize. Here's a picture of a typical label. Note the output voltage and current rating is clearly indicated.
Good luck!
My scanner is asking me to unlock the hardware,
Some scanner models have a physical lock mechanism under them for use during transport that stops the scan head from sliding around.
Check under your scanner if it has one and slide it along to the open/unlock position if it does.
I have no leads only the xerox scanner what do i need to buy
Hello.
I am a Support Engineer with Xerox Scanners. When you say that you need the "leads" I assume that you mean calbes to connect the scanner to your computer. If that is the case, all you need a USB A/B cable and a compatible power supply. If you no longer have your original power supply, or it is no longer functional, you may be able to find a comatible replace at your local electronics store. It needs to have an output specification of 12 Volts and support at least 1.25 amps.Drivers for this model can be found here. Please be aware that this model is circa 2003, and drivers were not made for operating systems beyond Windows Vista. If you need help updating or reinstalling the drivers, have a look at this article.
