Protect light on zx 1000.1

HelloDisconnect all speakers from the set and switch it ON. If it goes into protection mode, surely the device need service. Something shor circuit is with it inside the circuit. If it does not goes into protect mode without speakers, make sure that any one among the speaker connection has some kind of short with the car body of the speaker itself has damaged. Connect the speakers one by one and find out the damaged speaker or faulty speaker line. OK.

How should i run my Jensen A600HLX Amplifier if i

U need to check the impedance of your woofers .If they are 4 ohm i would reccomend hooking them in series, which is the positive output of your amp will go to the positive of one woofer, the negative of that woofer goes to the positive of your other woofer and the negative goes to the negative output of the amp.If that amp is bridgeable this will give u a good bass and the impedance will be 8 ohm so your amp will run cool and stable

I have a Jensen A600HLX hooked up to Rockford 12

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A SOLID, STRONG GROUND CONNECTION BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE!!!!!
Make sure you are using the proper gauge wiring for your amp.

Is the amp set up in bridged mode? What is the impedance (Ohms) of the Rockford Fosgate 12? If the impedance of the speaker is different from the impedance for the amp in bridged mode, it WILL get hot and cut off. Also, if you overdrive the amp, the same will happen.

The amp is stable :
  • 75 watts RMS x 4 channels at 4 ohms
  • 100 watts RMS x 4 channels at 2 ohms
  • 200 watts RMS x 2 channels bridged at 4 ohms
  • 300 peak watts x 2 channels bridged at 4 ohms

  • Also, what model is the subwoofer? What are the specs? Is it single or dual voice coil?

You can most likely mount a cooling fan on the amp and have it turn on using the remote sensor wire. If the amp still cuts out, you're overdriving it.

Good luck and keep me informed!

My sub is making a humming sound

    Hey austinpippen,
The noise you are experiencing is due to your rca plug shorting out causing a loop, in outher words, bad earth.
Try getting a noise filter, you take your rca plug and plug it into the noise filter, then wire it to the amp!
you can try a ground loop isolator or relocating your ground [earth].
I hope this helps you out.
    Fingers crossed.

    Subwoofer amplifier

This could cause from different issues.

    1. Check if there's any voltage leading from your ignition to the remote cable on the AMP. If you have voltage on the ignition check the fuse that connect inseries on the remote cable.

If the fuse ok you might have other problem in the Audio Output stage.

    Good luck.

    Bass boost/Gain

Both the bass boost and the gain generally do the same thing, except the bass boost is essentially "additional gain" at a particular frequency (in this case, 45Hz). I would suggest lowering the bass boost (10?) and adjust the gain. Honestly, you may have to play around with both settings until you find a happy medium. There is going to be a maximum the amp can provide no matter how you get there. Hope that helps!

    USING 1 CHANNEL

I can't find any documentation for your amp; it was made when Jensen was owned by Recoton, and they're no longer in business. With any 4-channel amp, you can't bridge all four channels into a single channel. What you can do, if you're connecting it to a single sub, is to bridge two of the channels into one channel and leave the other two channels unused. It doesn't usually matter which two channels you pick, but some 4-channel amps designate channels 3 and 4 (or rear channels) for the subwoofer. Whichever ones you use should have a "LPF" or "LP" crossover setting available.

    Help

No. The amplifier gets its signal from the RCAs connected to the "input" jacks, but the "output" jacks are just there to make it easier to add another amplifier. You only need to connect the inputs for the amp to work.

    Jensen Amplifier..4 x 50WRMS at 4 Ohms

This sounds like you need a ceramic noise suppression filter/ferrule on the Power line to the amp. You should be able to get a suitable one from most car audio shops. Hope this helps, please post again if you have trouble getting one :)

    Jensen A600HLX

These solid state amps have no user serviceable parts inside them as everything is soldered into place and your gonna need to know how to use a multimeter to trouble shoot the parts inside the amp on the printed circuit board. Sorry But without the proper training and the right tools you could cause more damage to the amp if you dont know what your doing. You cannot just open the unit and see whats bad. You must test each suspected bad part and replace it as needed. You should take the amp in to have a pro look at it, as there is no easy fix on these unless its an external fuse, and a fuse will very rarely blow all by itself. Good Luck

    My amp went into protect

See my solution for: http://www.fixya.com/problems-solutions/t115301,p424435/Eclipse-Car-Amplifiers.aspx And they shouldn't need a schematic unless they can't read the part numbers of the fried components.
