Your Panasonic TC-26LX20 26 will only allow video inputs through the:
1. composite video/audio input ( RCA phono x 3 ) - front or rear
2. S-Video input ( 4 pin mini-DIN ) - front or rear
3. component video input ( RCA phono x 3 ) - rear
4. HDMI ( 19 pin HDMI Type A ) - rear

Depending on the output(s) available from your PC, you can use any of the following:
a. the yellow RCA female
b. S-Video output ( 4 pin mini-DIN )
c. VGA (which normally goes to the monitor) but would require a VGA/HD to HDMI Format Converter such as the one here

Should this be not enough information, please post back with what PC brand/model that you have. Additionally please specify what Video Card are you using if your PC is a desktop.

You may try using the power switch on the TV itself instead of the remote. I have had trouble where the remote turn on doesn't work for the video, holding down on remote button longer seem to help. Also you may want to try another input to the TV -so connect up input wires from your cable/sat to another one.

Two issues come to mind on LCD/LED TVs with a blank screen. First and foremost, unplug it from the power source for a few minutes, then plug it back in and power on to see if your problem has gone away. If not, then the easiest way to diagnose the problem is to power on your TV in a pitch black room (or drape a thick blanket over it and peek underneath at the screen while it's on)... we want to see if the backlights are working or not. If the screen looks like it's 'lit up' with a dark gray tint to it, then we have backlight and there is another problem. If no backlight, then your set has a bad backlight inverter. In either case, this will require parts replacement. Panasonic is very tight with who they will sell their parts to, unlike other manufacturers and usually require authorization from a technician before selling them.

PRESS LIGHTLY ON THE SCREEN. IS THERE A SLIGHT DISCOLORATION? IF SO THE PANEL IS ON AND YOU PROBABLY HAVE A MAIN BOARD ISSUE. IF NOT THE POWER SUPPLY, INVERTER BOARD OR PANEL IS THE ISSUE.

Are you connecting your laptop to the HDMI port on this tv? In what circumstance is it not giving you any sound? Check the connections at the back - are they in the right place and the right order?

If there is no indication of any kind then it shows that the main power supply of the TV has failed. So you need to remove power plug and check the power supply of the TV, remove back panel and check the SMPS.

I did it myself. With 2 HDMI cables, it was easy.

YOU NEED THE RIGHT REMOTE.

YPU HAVE A BAD PANEL. THE COST OF REPAIR WILL PROBABLY EXCEED THE VALUE OF THE SET.

Sounds like a backlight failure I suppose. It's a lot of work to fix them.

I am also having problems with the same year and model number panasonic, it is at the repair shop now. I think it is a lemon tv. won't buy panasonics anymore. Tried all the fixes recommended by panasonic. It happens after the tv is on for longer than 1/2 hour. It happens with dvds and different hook ups. my samsung is fine on all the same connections.
