Olympus Camedia C-160 Digital Camera Questions & Answers
I WANT TO SHOW MY IMAGES ON MY T/V MY CAMERA IS A C-160
After looking at the online manual, I have come to the conclusion that the C-160 does not have an A/V out connection, therefore, displaying directly from camera to TV is impossible. If you need this function, I would recommend purchasing another camera. Otherwise your best bet is to upload your photos to your computer and use a slideshow program and burn to a disk or if it is for a business presentation, try using MS Powerpoint. If you do end out getting another camera, research for that specific function before purchasing.
I want to use olympus c-160 as webcam?
It is not possible to use any Olympus camera as a webcam. The cameras are not designed with this kind of functionality. Buy a webcam from Logitech that is made exclusively for this purpose.

Replacemant rechargable batteries
You can use any type of NiMH rechargeables batteries for the camera with 2500 milliamp hours or better. You can purchase these batteries and a charger at any local Walmart.
Camera not properly reading memory card
The problem stems from deleting some of the images from the PC. You need to copy all the files onto the PC, and delete all of them from the card on the camera. Then reformat the card on the camera. Then take 1 picture on the camera.
After you have just 1 new photo on the card, try copying the older files back onto the card in the same directory as the 1 new photo. This may work.
If it doesn't work, the problem may be with missing hidden thumbnail files. In that case you may not be able to get the photos to display on the camera again.
Wont turn on C-160, flicking screen
Dear emjay187,
i have the same camera and experiencing the same problem, it doesn't matter what batteries i put in (fully charged rechargables or dry cell AA) the low battery icon flashes then the screen flickers and goes off. i suspect it to be another onboard battery so i have found a small button 3v battery soldered to the main board. i have desoldered it and am now sourcing one so when i find it and try it i will contact you to confirm my results.
regards
Michael.
Olympus c-160 battery problem
Check your user manual to see exactly what type of batteries you can use. Not all AA batteries will work in all digital cameras. Some require a specific brand of batteries or specific number, even though, they may be physically the same size. Hope this helps :)
My olympus c-160 Camera indicator light and display not open
Stupid suggestion, but check to make sure the batteries are correctly inserted.
I would also suggest you use a pencil eraser to scour the ends of the batteries in make usre no oxides are preventing contact.
Also, I have gotten new (Chinese) alkalines that had failed internal contacts so no voltage was present at the terminals unless firm pressure was applied.
I guess that is less serious than lead in toys but . . .
