To turn off your child lock on sanyo tv: 1. Press the "Menu" button from the remote 2. Then press the "CH+/-" twice 3. Press the "Enter" button to access the submenu 4. Enter the password. The default password is "1234", but if you already changed the password make sure to enter it correctly 5. Press "Enter" to switch off the child lock. Do the same if you want to switch it on.

If you're trying to change the channel, it's the last 2 buttons on the side of the tv. If you're trying to scan for additional channels you'll need a universal remote. based on what the manual says you need to press the "menu" key to do a manual channel search. unfortunately there is no menu key on the side of the tv. here is a cheap universal remote that includes the menu button.https://www.amazon.com/RCA-RCR503BZ-3-Device-Palm-Sized-Universal/dp/B007TAMHRI/
