Firstly i would recommend you to check if the microphone settings have been accidentally turned off , many times the sound is not recorded because of this issue.
Please don't let people experiment with your camera as they could do damage to your camera.
So where you felt there was a problem , you will have a big problem , as a result of experimentation.

If you feel that nothing works , even after changing the settings and restarting the camera, i would recommend you to dial the number provided on the user manual usually, which will help you with the nearest service center details so that you can get your problem fixed by an expert.

There's nothing you can do except to have the lens replaced. Trying to rub out a scratch would only result in the lens having a different focal point and would no longer work with the other lens elements in the assembly. This will probably cost more than the camera is worth.

Hi, It sounds like there's a bad connection with the battery charger, have you tried another charging cable?

try to download them into computer and see if you have sound on them when you play back into computer ...if you do it means the issue is on the playback feature and probably the volume for playback in the camera is muted or low .If you do not have sound..than look into the camera menu and locate mic..and see to be turned on and its volume razed proper..I believe that if you do not find the mic..(it may have an external button to turn it on and off) you may look in the menu for factory settings ...or something called factory defaults reset ..and engaging them it will reset any mic related settings that may cause the issues..

To give you an accurate answer you would have to give a general idea of your location, not your exact location just the city or area, as to get that battery pack you would have to go to a particular cam shop, however you can try ebay to get one at a good price.

Your camera has a feature called MF (Manual Focus) if it is switched to MF, the autofocus won\'t work. If on the right side of the screen is MF, you are sure the camera is in that mode. You can change that in Recording Menu 2.The manual is still online.Success

When you view a photo press the delete button, it will ask you if you wanr to delete this photo, yes to delete.

You need to download your images then delete the images from the camers or format the memory using the camera menu settings.

Talk to Kastar and tell them there battery messed up your camera. I am assuming the camera was working OK when you got it.
