Read the Manual on resetting the Bios Password.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Dell Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Look for manuals and search them for Bios Password.

You can try the steps below if you like but there is no guarantee it will work on some laptops.

You will have to remove the power cord, remove the battery and remove the CMOS Battery that is located on the motherboard. On most computers you will have to take the laptop apart to get to the cmos battery. On some systems it looks like a silver nickel that you will need a small flat head screw driver to pop it out. On other systems it will be inside a vinyl covering and has a cable that plugs into the motherboard. Once you remove the CMOS Battery, let it sit for an hour or two then put it back in and put the laptop back together. Boot the machine and you'll probably have to go into the Bios or System Setup because the system will have forgotten the date, time and password.

Will not boot? Does it come on and at least try to boot? What happens when you hit the Power Button?When you plug in the power cord is there any lightswhatsoever on the laptop, where the plug goes in or on the AC Adapter of thepower cord?When you press the power button do you hear fans running, hard drive spinning,lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lights constantly blinking, hear theDvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer of the DvD/CD turn on for asecond or two? If so the laptop is trying to boot or may have booted, butthe screen is not showing for some reason.Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with thelaptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issuewhen you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous. Most times the problemis with the memory or Video Card. Count the Blinking Lights or Beeps and takenote of their pattern (1 Long or 1 Long followed by 2 Short).Maybe your power cord is bad if you don't get anything to happen whatsoeverwhen you press the power button. And if that's true maybe you wasoperating off the battery the last time you had it on and since the power cordis bad, it was not charging the battery so the battery is drained and the powercord is bad.Maybe you have a Static Charge Buildup. Remove the Power Cord, Remove theBattery, then Press and Hold the power button for 30seconds. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in (leave the batteryout) and hit the power button to see if it boots. If it does, you can putthe battery back in and let it charge.Maybe your DC Power Jack which is where the power cord plugsinto the computer is bad. Take an ink pen and push the tip inside thejack and see if the little pin wiggles, if so the jack is bad. You'll have totake the laptop apart to fix it. Most times it is soldered onto themotherboard, so you will have to desolder the old and solder a new one.Maybe your memory is bad or the memory slot is bad.Remove the Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

(vast) (just 2 steps in fact) but the boot drive , change out is far far far more complex. and you never not told that. you want to mess with the C: drive? now let me guess the real goal (sad I must) the OS drive windows is failing ( common) and some lil' bird told you it needs a new boot drive, and then fail to say so here. okay I will bite. 1: buy a new SSD (hdd fail and are slow) 2: buy a new OS, from MS. or get free w10. (ask how) 3: then put in new SSD, 4: run the w10 installer media (it is free) 5: load w10 to the SSD fresh 6: answer the silly 30 questions it asks. 7: and click activate. (buy it) ..

push the physical cd drive try button marked EJECT the PC must be running, or use the paper clip hole trick. (if PC is dead or tray jammed) google that. clip trick the dell manuals covers this

ask at Microsoft.com forum , there? or learn that if PC had this new, it is in fact crippleware. and will nag you until you buy it or do the rent things, 360 jive. best is buy it and set it up like you went. even 2007 runs here on w10. office. the PCs most on earth new, come with free but fully crippleware. as do vast other bloatware loaded on new PC. I erase all that junk and set up my own things paid and licensed.

I don't know its solved or not but here's the method. Step 1 : Login to your profile of shtyle.fm Step 2 : Move your cursor to the "you option "or "your profile option". Step 3 : There, You will see the link of "Account Settings". Step 4 : Click on that link and you will see "Delete profiles and friends" Option There. Click on it. Step 5 : After that you will see the information that why you should't delete the account and bla bla bla. Step 6 : Just click on the continue button. I highlighted the link in below given image. Click there. Step 7 : Now you will see the box where you can enter the reason why you want to delete your shtyle account and profile. Enter reason or leave it blank and click on delete option. That's It. Your account is deleted. When you try to login with the same credential again you will see this. If you see below given error then your account or profile is deleted. From what to what ................................

It might just be the fact that your laptop has died on you. Or it could be that the screen has quit working and needs to be replaced.It could be an issue with the hard drive.

Have you tried different programs? Such as VLC?

I'm sure you already have checked this but it's worth a try. Did you check in the control panel area under the Power Options for how long it's set to time out the screen? Sometimes people don't know that they can change how long the screen will stay lit, then time out. In that same area you can set the time for timeout of the Hdd to sleep, closing the lid and what the power button actually does.
