Canon FAX-L800 Plain Paper Laser - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My fax model is L-800,
Have you tested the telephone line to see if it has dial tone. Unplug the fax from the line and plug in a analogue phone to test this. While you are there check the extension number with the phone to make sure you are still on the same number. You can do this by dialing any phone with a display ie a mobile.
Change incoming fax number
Unless I'm misunderstanding your question, your fax machine has nothing to do with the incoming fax number. That's assigned by your phone service provider to the telephone line the fax machine is connected to. The only way to change that number would be connect the machine to a different phone line. This might be as simple as just plugging the phone cord into another jack if that line already appears at a convenient location, or it might mean a visit from a technician to place a jack where it's needed. Or you can contact your phone service provider about assigning a new number.
I hope this has helped. If not, please post a comment with more information about your question and I'll try to help further.
Copies made are totally black. what do i do?
Hello limay_uera
Please check your Printer setup. or options ( I am not familiar with this printer. what terms they use- I'm not sure) Ther will be options for Print in Color or Black. Make sure the radio button for COLOR is checked. This way, black and color both will print in the correct color. So leave it on color even when you want to print in Black. The black radio button is there for a different reason.
Hope this will help you.

Canon Fax-L700
There is a cable that runs from the scanner to the processor. Looking
from the front, its on the left side of the machine, on the back, it is
a fairly large connector.
Unscrew the two thumb screws, then
unplug it and plug it back in with the machine ON.
It will force it
into a reset and may boot.
The problem is caused by a software glitch .
Check the tray settings and ensure that paper size guides are
set to the appropriate paper size, then power off/power on the machine.

Is there a fuse inside the L800
You probably have a dead low voltage power supply.
There might be a fuse on it, but a blown fuse usually indicates a bad power supply.
