E000079-0001
The E079 error code indicates the home position of the outside heating roller (engagement) home position sensor does not get detected. The outside heating roller (engagement) home position sensor does not go off.The detail code 0001 indicates the home position sensor does not go on within 5 seconds after the start of the home position search. The error code does not reset after the machine's power is turned off and on again.Check the position of the outside heating roller home position sensor's (PS22) flag. The flag can easily be moved out of position or broken during transport.Note: the parts manual refers to the outside heating roller home position sensor as PS66 rather than PS22. (See figure 810 page 2-156)

Need to adjust the Settings on the Colour Mode to
Hello kthomas803,
You are smart to see this and respond. Even "black'pen ink has red pigment in it and although the human eye can't see it the copier can and counts that as a color copy. Hit the reset button so we know we are at the base configuration of the device. Now select black as the mode for the device as if you were about to make a copy. Now locate the "Aditional function" button to the right of the display. You will see a menu and I believe on your device the top right tab will say copy settings.Select it and scroll till tou see the "standard settings" key.Select it.The 2 options should be store and initialize.Select store and hit ok in he lower right corner. Now back out to the main screen which will require a couple of exits/resets.Now that you are back to the main copy screen select auto color.Press reset (yellow button).Your copier should now have gone back to black.Hope I have helped you,and have agood day. Please let "FIXYA" know if I helped. SPINAL
