it sounds like the resolution is set too high. try turning it down to something lower on both units and see how that works. also, the sound format might be in the wrong format as well. both of these options can be configured in their respective "system settings".

try the volume if this works then press SELECT to save the code. If not then press TV again then the volume. repeat this step until the volume works then press the SELECT button to save the code.

Thats a goldstar code and the buzz on the web is it works 50% of the time.

I just found this as well never tried it but it may work good luck

you want to know the code to put in just do these steps:
1. press and hold the tv button till the all the top buttons turn red
2. press the # button twice
3. the tv light will blink out the code to you. It will blink the first number then a pause then blink the 2nd number then a pause then blink the third number. For Sony you will see 5 blinks, pause, short blink, pause, short blink. (short blink means a zero) the code for sony is 500
4. Thats it!

If you just bought it call where you bought it and tell them they need to send a repairman out to fix it.

The majority of the time it is the Y Sustain module. I, myself being in the service industry, I always replace the Y drive boards also. The Y main is the large board on the left and connected to that is the y drive boards or board, depending on the model. Check for pico fuses open on the Y and that's a give-a-way.

Hello. Most plasma's do have internal fans that keep the temp down on the internal components. Maybe you have not noticed it if the tv volume was turned up. It also could be that tone of the fans are defective, which would cause them to sound louder. If it is unusually loud, you might want to have the t.v. checked. I hope this helps. The service rep is correct. This will either be a poor contact on the flexible cable connector to that area of the screen, but unfortunately almost 95% of the time this is caused by a faulty screen & would need to be replaced by the service centre.

Ur video ic inverter board connections could be lose or dead all together.

sound like crt erea ,eht ,mains problem.could possibly be crt failour.

no amigo, this is not a reset problem, your problem is the two fans that this tv uses to cool down the system, simply just replace them. believe me there is nothing else wrong with this set i service a hotel that has more than 50 of this sets.

The sypical source of a bad smell is electrolytic capacitors that are failing. Please UNPLUG this unit and have it repaired. There is a slight but definite chance of fire. This is not a major repair effort at this time, but a delay will significantly increase the repair cost. Please have this serviced ASAP.

te pcb's tat drive the panel have gone bad. call lg set as 2yr warranty.

Replace the y-sus board located on the right after removing the back panel.

check inverter. adjust brightness and contrast.

It is a bad unit. If it's new, get it replaced, there is no repair for this problem. Hope this helps.
